Thats ok, in my Jazz career (PG) the team just traded away Millsap and Al Jefferson

MyPlayer 2k11 used to do that a lot. I purposely went to Portland to play with Aldridge. I played two games before they traded him for Anthony Randolph.

i got the PC version, its pretty neat with the mods to use real players in my career. So you can use MKG for example with the twitter thing and press conferences etc its kinda neat. didnt stop me from getting bored 10 games in though especially after dumblap got fired. i also realized it wasnt realistic because MKG has never gotten interviewed post game in real life yet lol

Ok the trades made sense for the team apparently. Kanter and Favors are both beasting it right now (Kanters is going 14ppg 9.1 rpg, Favors 16.8ppg 8.1 rpg). It must have been a 3 way trade because we managed to get Terrence Ross and Ed Davis in the trade, while giving up Al Jefferson and Burke.

We also traded away Millsap (now on Spurs), but got Danny Green (Awesome for us, as he is a terrific 3 point spotter for me to pass too!) and Jermaine O'Neal (Solid veteran backup) in return.

Foye was also traded, but Im not sure what he was traded for..... Might have been involved in a 3 way deal.

In our first game with our new lineup we won against the Grizzlies 111 to 109. Close game. Kanter and Favors came to play, and Ross was just going off (no surprise given how good he was in the rookie showcase). Ross is just terrific to have, he is an easy assist if I find him at the 3pt line, he will drive inside, he will catch alleys.

I think that Kanter, Favors, Myself, and Ross will form a solid core for the Jazz to build around.

Im playing on Hall of Fame difficulty and am having tons of fun, I get the feeling that this young Jazz team could make some noise.

my favourite team to use a point guard was Portland.

Aldridge is an asset machine, he finishes around the rim and is automatic mid range.

Batum and Matthews hit he 3's.

If only they would trade Lillard for a better centre.

Lillard was the most annoying thing for me, I kicked his ass in the first game so Portland pick me instead.
But he still ends up on the team and I BACK HIM UP!!!

just stupid.

Thats why I wouldn't want to go to Portland. Utah is great right from the get go, because you can feed the ball inside all day....

Rockets are pretty good in that aspect actually. Asik isn't terrible at finishing in close and guys like Robinson, Parsons, and Harden are assist magnets. I asked my GM to go after Mullens and a few other decent guys, hoping they'd trade Garcia or Beverly who are epic garbage in the game, but no they traded Robinson and Motiejunas for Mullens. Now Mullens plays 12 minutes a game and I have even more PT with Garcia on the floor. Go figure.

7-2 with my Jazz. Enes Kanter is averaging 15 ppg and 10rpg with Favors averaging 16ppg and 8rpg. We lead the league in rebounds. Terrence Ross is getting 13.8ppg, but his production has been increasing steadily, I expect him to finish the year averaging at least 16ppg at this rate. Danny Green is one hell of a assist magnet, averaging 11.8ppg off the bench (15 min).

My player is averaging 29ppg, 9.2apg, and 4.2 spg in 25 min a game.

Our 2 losses came against the Grizzlies (111-109 OT) and the Suns (98-95).

Prior to the Al Jefferson/Paul Millsap trades we were winning our games by 30+ (first 3 games)... Even beating the Spurs by 59. We then dropped our next 2 games while I adjusted to the new lineup. Since our 2 losses we have rattled off 4 straight, including 2 impressive victories against the Lakers and the Rockets (But also lol worthy smashings of the Raptors and Mavs)... So far so good.

Learning the pick in roll in this game is ridiculous, the post player just doesn't roll the right way half the time and it forces you to make a bad pass. Its better to call for a slip screen just to get the player in the right position.

As far a defense goes I just use a ton of help D to shut down my opponents, but even then the occassional player goes off on us. Anthony Davis was the only player on his team to score more than 10 points in week 1, but he went for 29 points and 14 rebounds. Kobe Bryant was absolutely unstoppable, he stripped me 3 times and went for 37 points on 60% shooting. Dragic once again torched me (he always does, I'm not sure how or why he is so good in game) as he went for 21.... There isn't much you can do to guard a driving player in NBA 2k13, the best way to do it is to just make sure your C/PF in the right position to block the ball while your primary focus is to just shut down the inside. But even then, against players like Rondo and Rose who use floaters all the time you just can't do much....

By the way Rose will literally use floaters from 15+ feet out, its **** ridiculous, its unblockable and almost always goes in.

I don't think my team has what it takes to win the NBA championship this year, but we certainly will have a shot at it in the future with how good Kanter, Favors, Ross, and I project to be. Ross may turn out to be another Tracy McGrady, as he is unstoppable when he drives and can hit just about any shot.

Forget the 32 points, how did you let Gordon out-rebound you!? Good to see that both yours and his number of turnovers are what they should be.

stupid guards always out rebound you in that game. Used to really frustrate me, go up same time as Sessions and he would out rebound me.

Although I used to make up for it with offensive rebounds. Diop was a beast at that.

I've renamed the thread.

I started playing as Diop again and have dominated from the beginning, only for Dunlap to keep subbing me out for Deadwood.

The Bobcats did the right thing firing that bum, its become quite clear that we would be a championship team if we just played Diop more. :D

in this game I got plenty of time thanks to the "get within 5" bug

when i was up 50+ points in the 4th quarter the game took out my starters and put mullens in the game. i immediately called a timeout and took him out. i need to cut him. i can't believe i forgot to remove him from the roster before i started the association. i could have put kenny gattison or david wingate or johnny newman in his place. shame on me.

Still playing for Jazz, recently got back to it. My 6'6 PG started his first game (we are 16-3 or something like that) and per the norm I went off.... My team is amazing-

PG: My Player, Mo Williams
SG: Terrence Ross, D. Green
SF: Hayward, Williams
PF: Favors, Ed Davis
C: Kanter, O'Neal

The real stars of the rotation are Ross, Kanter, and myself- as I am struggling to get Favors more involved. Kanter is averaging ~17ppg, but that average is only going to rise as he continues to put up 20+ points on a regular basis. I have a great pick-n-roll game going on with him, and my team is just too easy to farm assists off of when you consider that Ross, Green, and Hayward are all 3 point threats. Green doesn't play all too much (~16min a game), yet he averages 11 points a game- and is shooting above 50% from 3pt range.

Ross continues to live up to his billing as a TMac clone, he is a great slasher with unlimited range. He is horrid on defense though.

Talking about defense, because of how impossible it is to guard players in this game I'm forced to play a ton of 1-3-1 zone (only zone D that works)- where my role is to guard the perimeter, while my big men take on anyone who comes inside.

I'm still playing as Diop, ran an awesome pick and role play with Matt Carroll the other day that would have made Slam simultaneously cry and become aroused.

Sounds like a "pick your poison" play for the defense. Either hedge the screen and Gana will throw an alley-oop down your face or leave the big man waiting in the paint for Matt, only for him to knock down the pull-up three. Deadly pick-n-roll.
