As a starter, Kemba can get 6 assists a game. That's pretty average for a PG so it's certainly not out of the question. Diaw gets around 4 a game by himself.

Agreed, also if Kemba starts it may accelerate Hendo's playmaking abilities & handle as Kemba is effective off the ball.

I think we've got to do whatever will make us lose the most amount of games whilst giving our youngsters the best chance to reach their potential.

6 isn't average though, 6 is pretty good. Not fantastic, but pretty good. Plus he won't be getting 36 mpg, even if he does start, and hopefully Diaw won't be getting as many minutes as before either!

I'm not saying he can't do it. It's just that everyone is saying he won't, while saying that they're excited for 3 assists.

But there is some concern. Losing Jackson, Diaw losing minutes, and DJ losing minutes is all minutes lost by our best playmakers. Adding Kemba adds some playmaking, but if those projected stats are accurate it'll be plays for Kemba mostly.

I think with the defensive attention Kemba will get he can accidentally create three assists.

Not so sure about that. A lot of it is reliant on who you are passing the ball to and their ability to put it in the basket - and it's not like our team is chock full of scorers!!

Plus, there were only 17 PG's that averaged 6 or more last season. Take the super stars out (CP3, Nash, D.Will, Kidd, Westbrook, Rose etc) and that leaves only about 10 PG's who did it.

There aren't many. It's not the best market for PGs this year, and too many teams have rookie/sophomores they think are gonna be amazing (who are totally gonna be average at best).

ESPN has 18 PGs as averaging 6 a game last year (20 if you count LeBron and Iguodala). That's nearly 2/3 of the league's PGs. I don't see why any PG worth his salt isn't a legitimate threat for 6 a night.

Replacing Jack (ISO) with Hendo (curl screens) is going to help the PGs in the assist column.
Maggette as a slasher will help
Lobs to Bismack, if he plays, will help
And teams being concerned with Kemba's scoring ability will help open things up as well

Of course all of that is under the hypothetical of Kemba as the team's starter and DJ gone somewhere else. Like I said earlier, with him coming off the bench behind DJ, he'll be closer to 10/3/1.5

Atlanta-Teague/Benson/1st round pick for DJA & DJ White.

Sacto-DJ for Thompson/1st round pick for DJ

Orlando-Anderson/Orton for DJ

OKC-Maynor/Aldrich for DJ

LAL-Morris/Ebanks/2 1st round picks for DJ

???

What do you guys think?? Are these realistic??

The only teams you listed that would be interested in him are Orlando and Los Angeles

Atlanta-Teague/Benson/1st round pick for DJA & DJ White.

Atlanta is too high on Teague. They think he's gonna be an All Star.
Sik Infant wrote:Sacto-DJ for Thompson/1st round pick for DJ

Thompson would be the third best big on a roster with too many bigs already. Maybe once we see how their team looks. If they're a bottom 5 team... that pick could go nicely with our own...
Sik Infant wrote:Orlando-Anderson/Orton for DJ

I like Orton, but they don't need DJ.

Morris? Who?[/quote]

Darius Morris-6'5 PG out of Michigan who should have been a first round pick but went in the second, his game would be perfect next to Kemba.

I like the OKC trade aswell, I reckon they'd do it & a three man rotation of DJ,Harden & Westbrook in the backcourt would be awesome for them...also DJ has Durant connections playing together at Texas.

i think OKC will be interested, they don't need Aldrich & though they are high on Maynor DJ is the better player & the better fit.

Aldrich was a reach for them out of need but isn't a need anymore with Perk there.

Yeah that Texas Connection is nice. DJ plays well off the ball, and doesn't make stupid turnovers.

Yeah. DJ is better than Maynor, and now we're the ones who have the need for Aldrich. We're not getting equal talent back, but it gives us a position of need.

This is what believe, Those needs need to be addressed sooner rather than later & as Maynor is a bit bigger than DJ & can play spot 2 he fits well...especially with his range.

Aldrich could excel given minutes with us & spent most of last season in the D-League which could mean he is available, his fundamentals are good but his athleticism is lacking but that could be covered playing next to athletic freaks like TT & Biyombo.

Maybe OKC throws in a first or a couple of seconds but I would do it without the picks just to get it done.

Also Crunk I think Jason Thompson would be a good fit for us with his ability to play the 4 & the 5, with the Kings trading for Hickson I think Thompson could be available.

If a team phoned today and offered their 1st round pick pick in the 2012 draft for Kemba and you 100% knew that pick was going to be 9th overall, would people take it?

Depending on the player and situation, yes.

I like my PGs to either be big bodied or pass first, and our current PGs are neither.

It's really obvious to see why i love what Kendall brings to the table. The kid is a 6'4 physical chore for whoever guards him, and has elite floor vision for even the NBA. I also really like what I've seen from Myck Kabongo and Tony Wroten Jr.

I'd be happier with Marshall/Hendo/Barnes/Tyrus/Bismack than with Kemba.
