LOVE the Mark Price hire. Loved him as a player and am ecstatic to see what he can do with Kemba and MKG.

Beyer was a long tenured assistant coach under SVG at Orlando. That's about all I know

Hell I added 4 myself.

One thing is for sure. Our FO would demolish the league in a Tournament. I think this also goes to show the sort of reputation Clifford has versus Dunlap. Look at the difference in name power from staff to staff

This has to give him more credit in people's eyes. These guys are known assistants and want to come work for him.

http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_the_nba/2013/06/mark-price-to-join-charlotte-bobcats-as-shooting-specialist.html

I especially like this quote. "Rookie Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who struggled as an outside shooter last season, specifically requested the team hire a shooting coach at the season’s conclusion. Price could also be helpful to center Bismack Biyombo, who struggles to have any shooting range."

Love that MKG took the initiative and asked the front office to get someone. Glad he realizes he needs to work more on his shot as well. Things are looking great for the Horncats lately.

Really, really love this coaching staff. Dunlap never had anyone behind him, Clifford does.

MJ, Ewing, Price, and Dell Curry. We 90's now.

Our team may not be very good, but our FO would dominate a FO Tournament.

Price
Curry
MJ
who cares
Ewing

MJ must have opened up his wallet for this coaching staff.

Exciting times for Charlotte fans.

Those four right now might beat our starting five.

I LOVE that quote. I truly believe that MKG is on his way on becoming as good as Kawhi Leonard during these next few years.

I love this hire even more than Ewing's just because it's sort of a bit more out of the blue and shows that the FO is pursuing specialists that will particularly help our prospects, in this case MKG with his shot.

Upon checking out Price's wikipedia page, I found out that he has hold this position for several NBA teams, like the Grizzlies, Celtics (working with Rondo), Hawks, etc., and also was the head coach for the South Dragons of Australia. So, Sik Infant - get in here and tell us what you know.

A Lamar video of Price going against Isiah to end off my post:

mrknowitall215 wrote:Mark Price could work wonders for Kemba possibly becoming an elite PG. Price was the Original Don Dada of splitting the screen, a move that Kemba has almost mastered already to date early in his career

Good point about Kemba mastering Price's move. I don't think anybody before Price ever split pick-n-rolls, it certainly wasn't a thing in the 80s.

Uncle Steve calling the game, to boot. His voice during a Hornets game is very 90s to me.

@Lamar

All I remember about Price is that he resigned after about half a dozen games, there were rumours that he was in fact fired and also a rumour that Shane Heal had him fired so he could have the job himself.
