The Jazz should look into moving Favors IMO, to fill all the holes on their roster. Favors and Kanter are both really nice players but they're a little too similar to put on the floor at the same time unless one develops a decent perimeter game.

I thought they should've traded one of Kanter or Favors for the best deal and kept one of Jefferson or Milsap. That would've been the smart thing to do. You can't win or grow continuity without some kind of veteran experience in the lineup unless you have a leader.

Bandwagoners. The majority of their current so-called fans don't even know Caron Butler or Lamar Odom used to play for them.

I watched their game last night and Kanters is a rather poor defender.

Anyone check out the east standings yet? We're one of only 5 east teams over .500.

The 6-0 Pacers, the 5-2 Heat.......................

and us, the Sixers, and Magic at 3-2.

The East is so bad.

You have Miami and Indiana as pretty much sure things to be at the top, then there's Chicago and Brooklyn who look good on paper but haven't quite figured it out yet with their new additions but will eventually round out the top 4. Then here's the rest:

New York should've been a top 5 team no question, but without Chandler, they're a complete wreck. They've got no defense. None. Absolutely none. They will play well-below-.500 basketball while he's out. Melo/JR/Bargnani will tank this team while Chandler is out.

Cleveland is looking ugly. Kyrie isn't looking very good in Brown's system and Bynum could very well be on his way out of the league.

Washington looks good on paper and could contend as high as 5 with Gortat, assuming they figure it out. Simply because of how awful the East is. Still, they probably wouldn't be a playoff team in the West.

Detroit could do well or could bust. Given their awful fit with each other and the fact that Josh Smith is taking gobs of threes every game, I'll say bust.

Atlanta has big patches all over the roster. They look decent on paper but they could go either way. Same deal as the Wizards- they could be good for a 6-7 seed in the East, but wouldn't be close in the West.

Orlando's lack of talent will finally catch up to them, and same with Philadelphia. Their records are unsustainable. Philadelphia's roster is still anemic, but Orlando could surprise some people and win 25-30 games. Philly won't though.

Toronto, Milwaukee, Boston... lol

Us... who knows? I think we're the most unpredictable team in the East. Do we sustain a .600 record? Of course not, but we're 3-1 without Al Jefferson this season. What can we do when he returns? Given the incredible weakness of the East, a 7th seed is not out of reach. I really only think we'll have to win about 34 games to make the playoffs in this terrible, terrible conference.

My current predictions after one week of the season:
1) Miami
2) Indiana
3) Brooklyn
4) Chicago
----- each of the above teams win 52+ games, then Washington wins 41 to 45. -----
5) Washington
----- the rest are at or below .500 -----
6) Atlanta
7) New York
8) Charlotte
================== I don't even see these teams winning 35 games.
9) Detroit
10) Cleveland
11) Toronto
12) Milwaukee
13) Orlando
14) Boston
15) Philly

I'm going go laugh if my 47-35 prediction actually comes to fruition.

47 wins is enough to get the 5th seed this year. Can you imagine...

The optimist in me says this team can win 36-40 games (still enough to make the playoffs out here), the way it's set up right now, bring in a guy mid-season like Eric Gordon or Batum or somebody that fits right in, then your prediction is possible.

However, part of me thinks we'll slip back into crap-land like last year and we'll wind up 12th in the east with 25-27 wins.

Imagining being the 5th seed just makes me all tingly inside.

I think every Western Conference team with the exception of Phoenix, Utah, and Sacramento could be the 6th seed in the East. I honestly believe the 12th seed in the West (the worst of LAL, NO, or POR) would make the playoffs as a 6th seed in the Eastern Conference. This conference is so **** terrible it's sad.

I'm beginning to wonder if we will ever get Portlands pick.

Well, it's unprotected in 2016, so if Lillard and Batum don't improve much and it looks like Aldridge is on his way out at that point, oh...... boyyyy

I still think the Blazers will compete hard for the playoffs though. Memphis and Denver are looking really shaky so far. They'll be okay come playoff time, but if they're not, Portland's got a legit shot at the playoffs.

Yeah I'm content with waiting for Portlands pick. Aldridge is a FA after next season, and if he leaves that pick could end up being the jackpot.

Pains me to say it, but I'm not even sure Steve Nash is the best Steve on his own team anymore.

Yeah he needs to retire after this season.

Should've just stayed with one of the other 29 non-Laker teams.

lol. Reggie Miller actually said this sentence during the Heat - Clippers game: "If your Blake Griffin, why even pass the ball to Byron Mullens?"

Yes, Reggie, you're absolutely right. Why?

Agreed. I want us to win every game we play but it's unlikely we'll make the playoffs given our current roster. Too much reliance on youth and not enough shooting.
