CDR and Tolliver were like our best bench players last year and not bringing neither back would be like WTF.

We saved him from the d league. I love the guy but we don't owe him anything.

I'm less concerned with it looking bad and much more concerned with it being a stupid decision because CDR is better than any wing we have, excluding Lance and MKG.

It look bad and it's a stupid decision all in one plus more to me if we don't bring back CDR. Everybody know that CDR is a legit NBA player that just happen to have been getting the raw end if the stick through his career and here it is probably about to happen to him again by us.

It's a cap / cash decision if he's not back, not a basketball decision.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

We have 4M in cap space if Roberts is signed with the room exception and Pargo is signed to the minimum after that. CDR wouldn't be getting more than Tolliver (even if he deserves it).

That would be great, especially if that big man can shoot a little

Lets hope the past tense wasn't an indication of disinterest on either side. This comes only a couple of days after saying he'd revisit the interest from CHA topic next week.

I don't understand why he hasn't received interest from another team yet. Is he waiting on us to clear up a roster spot so we can sign him? If not you would think the Heat, Bucks, Rockets, Bulls, etc. would have tried to sign him by now.

Nervous times for players like CDR. The first wave of FA is really over. The remaining signings will be done more slowly as available positions dry up, which also drives salaries down. I would have liked him back also, but it would require a trade...which is either very difficult to do (nobody really wanting our excess SG's) or is waiting for the BIG trade to happen, with deals consumated after that domino falls.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

They only thing that comes to mind to me are the comments he made about the war on terror, which were absolutely right on the money in my opinion.

Is he really getting black balled out of the league for being educated about the world around him and daring to have his own non-corporate media spun opinions?

We certainly wouldn't want to hurt the feelings of anyone we've drafted, even at the costs of putting a better team on the floor...

I can't believe the Heat haven't offered him a deal. They have absolutely no one backing up broken down Wade.

Didn't look to see if this is legit. Just taking it at face value.

It wouldn't be too shocking to me if that were the case. Certainly not fair, but things like that have happened before in NBA history. Craig Hodges was famously blackballed from the league when he wore a dashiki to the White House during the Chicago Bulls 1992 post-championship photo op and presented President Bush with a handwritten letter condemning the Gulf War. He was arguably the best 3-point shooter in the league at the time, winning the 3-point contest at All-Star weekend from 1990-1992 with a career .400 average from deep.

Pro sports teams in the USA are historically very pro-military. I doubt they appreciate a bench guy potentially giving them a "Team X Player Supports Terror" headline on Fox News. On pure ability CDR should absolutely be in the league. I really hope we bring him back, the dude balled out last season and left it all on the floor. Guys like that are valuable even when buried on the bench because they push the starters in practice.

Based on what I've read Hodges letter was about inner-city poverty and how he was unimpressed with the Bush administration's efforts to combat it. He also criticized the league a lot for not hiring more black coaches. It sucks to be the target of blowback but someone has to speak out against injustice, the people that do are the real heroes in my opinion.
