I wonder if IT would be happy coming off the bench?

I can see Cleveland getting bugger all for him seeing that Lebron clearly doesn’t like him

Anyone else take the day off?

This is the second year in a row where I've used one of my paid leave days on the trade deadline. Just picked up a huge breakfast at the Whole Foods breakfast bar (BTW super underrated breakfast) and realized I'm exactly the type of millennial everyone hates. I mean, I didn't go to work so I could eat breakfast and stare at my phone all day.

Too many short meetings that can't be skipped for me. I'll have to check out that breakfast sometime.

Hope it's a good mental healthy day.

My guess is Cho and MJ pull the trigger on the Cleveland deal. It's been discussed and will be discussed more as to how monumentally, mind-numbingly stupid it is, but the real discussion should also be on whether IT would want to play here. Aside from the other obvious flaws in the deal (literally everything), how about dealing a guy who wants to be here for a guy who in all likelihood doesn't (and is a major downgrade). IT's deal runs out after next season, and the problem with him is he's done so poorly now that he will have no future trade value. I wouldn't have guessed that before the season. But it's basically just gifting Cleveland years of being competitive at their own expense if MJ's compulsive gambling tendencies rear their ugly head at the wrong time.

Just for fun try trading MKG on ESPN's trade machine. It hates him.

As an aside, no Hornets player has stayed with the team for longer than 6 1/2 years except for Dell Curry (10) and Muggsy (8). That's pretty remarkable to have that much turnover and constant instability, while the stars of the franchise are always shipped off too soon. I get that that is tougher to have as time goes on, but it seems to literally be impossible here.

Alonzo made it three years, LJ a whopping five, Glen Rice went three plus a few games, Eddie Jones a season and a half and Mashburn through to NO. Wallace went six and a half and Kemba is poised to do the same.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of a franchise outside of this excuse for one that has not had any player stick with them for 7 years in this millennium. It's crazy we've only had two players do that in 30 years.

Crowder, Bradley and IT have all looked bad away from Boston. Maybe Stevens is some sort of super coach and they are all just marginal players

Anyone want to take a shot at explaining why this piece was worth writing: http://amp.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nba/charlotte-hornets/article199036239.html

Summary - Hornets and Seth Curry not a good fit.

Bonnell is just a shadow PR guy throwing whatever spin Cho and Jordan want him to throw.

No matter what they do today, he'll defend it. That's why he wrote the story after the Nuggets game about how the players seemed to quit on the coach (it's more the other way around), thus giving himself an out for saying "See, I said earlier that if they didn't want to blow up the team, they should've not lost that one game that snapped a winning streak. Since they lost that game, it makes sense to trade Kemba and destroy the franchise."

Cavs/Clips looking for a 3rd team.. Possibly Hornets 1st to the clippers + fillers for salary, Love to the Hornets, and Jordan to the Cavs? Does this make sense? Clips get their pick, Cavs get their center who isn't guaranteed past this season, while keeping the BRK pick, and Hornets upgrade their roster.

It makes sense to me. I suspect that the Cavs are not inclined to trade Love though.

What we keep hearing about the Cavs is that they want to trade guys like their team pick, Tristan, JR, or Iman, not Love or the Brooklyn pick.

Personally I would really like to have Love here.

I doubt they'll move Love but we can still probably squeeze into this.

Clips wanna add an asset while still competing. We could send over Dwight + they would get the Cleveland pick and Crowder (basically filler). Charlotte gets cap relief via expiring contracts. Cleveland adds DJ.

Hmm, I get why we would do this, but I don't think it really helps us that much. We do it because it helps us resign Kemba, but we may be able to resign him regardless because Lamb's value may not be as high as previously thought. I feel like we are just dumping Howard for nothing, and it really doesn't make sense because honestly he's better than Jordan but just has a reputation that he doesn't deserve.
