I like Hamilton and Smith for our 1st round picks (based on DE's order) and either Jeremy Tyler or Aaric Murray for our 2nd rounder.

If we keep that pick from the Hornets I would liketo take a serious look at this guy:
Lucas Nogueira
http://www.nbadraft.net/players/lucas-nogueira
I also think that Honeycutt from UCLA may be a solid option at SF. We need to stay away from PF's, we have enough of those. We desperatly need a SF and C. Which I think we can find both with the picks we figure to have.

I think he is a better prosepct. Better rebounder, better shot blocker, better around the basket.

Fatlever would love, he is Brazilian.
On principle I'm OK with tanking through drafting players who won't come over and can be stashed in Europe for some time, testing other talents for future young core/rotation in the process and trying to make a biger jump from tanking years to competing - i.e. after 2013 draft, effectively bringing more than 25 first round pick players including those from previous years. This year seems to be loaded with palyers that fits that description and if we find them good enough I would discriminate in their favor a bit.

I didn't know Kanter was being listed as such a high pick. Maybe we won't be able to get him.

Texas Vs Colorado is on right now - which means Hamilton Vs Burks playing head to head.
Considering our needs I would highly recommend watching if you can.

Eh... college ball can be so boring... I don't know who anyone is or what they're capable of, so i don't know when to be excited until the play ends.

I didn't get to watch the Texas/Colorado game but from the highlights Burks seen pretty impressive, 33pts. He attacks the rim pretty well.
Any other observation from people who watched the game?

Burks was very, very impressive. He looked to score by finding seams in the D. He has a "slithery" approach to the way he scores. Honeslty, he should have had 40, but he didn't hit from the line (usually his butter). The kid looked great. I;m calling it now - he's Kevin Martin V.2
Jordan Hamilton on the other hand........................stinker.

Currently we have the 10th and 21st picks. I would go with Fredette with the first pick and then go Bojan Bogdanovic with the 21st.
I would avoid Smith. I do not think he will translate over to the NBA very well.

Fredette is an unathletic 6'2" shooting guard. Dislike.

Re: 2010/11 NCAA Game Thread/Prospects Watch
Fredette is way more athletic than Steph Curry and he is preforming well. I also like Jimmer better as a PG than Curry. After watching both of them a lot I think Jimmer does a better job of creating space to get off shots and has better court vision and both have a great work ethic. If we could get him at 10 it would be a steal.

No, he's not more athletic than Curry. Are you suggesting he's a better player than Curry?

Adamn Morrison 2.0. How exactly would it be a steal when we dont need a PG??? we need to go SF or Center point blank perfably SF.

I have not seen Jimmer in person but Curry is not very athletic by NCAA standards much less NBA. Jimmer does a better job of getting space to get his own shot of and his first step looks quicker. I watched Curry a lot in person and thought he was a very good player but I like what I see out of Jimmer even more. I think in the end they will be about the same player.

Let's just say this. I think you're probably the only person who thinks Fredette is or will be as good as Curry is.

Re: 2010/11 NCAA Game Thread/Prospects Watch
I am fine if I am the only one. I am just saying what I have seen. Curry is a very good ball player but not a great athlete. Fredette is not a great athlete either but looks much quicker and moves better laterally.

Did anyone watch UNC Vs Maryland tonight?
I'm interested in reading some takes on Jordan Williams.
