Yeah, we're probably still going to see guys camped out in the corners against us, at least whenever Jefferson is in the lineup. That's the nature of the NBA these days.

I must say though, it was nice looking at the schedule yesterday and being able to count wins against teams that we might not have been able to last year. Our frontcourt just feels so much better than last year for obvious reasons, and the coaching staff has quelled some of my fears about 30 point losses. I understand we're going to get beat like we stole something on the nights where we play the league's upper echelon, but it will be nice to know we have more of a chance in those "50-50" games.
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

cliff notes
- clifford grew up in vermont, son of high school coach, wanted to be coach growing up
- cats have good quickness, good perimeter defenders, good size at 4
- please with defensive progress on defensive end
- dont give up open shots, help defense, rather than trying to force turnovers.
- no easy baskets, no fouls, defend 3pt line
- cats use analytics as much as they can
- cliffords dad taught his managers the points per possession stats 40 years ago
- have young guys that love working
- cats have guys who always play with effort
- lots of praise for MKGs defense
- MKG has to learn to change his mindset to learn what is a shot vs drive
- thibs helped clifford to develop style and how to communicate with players, be prepared when you deliver message, use of film to communicate, not over-react.

Cheers fats.

I'm glad Clifford recognises the value of MKG but also where he needs to improve.

I wonder which analytics in particular that we are fond of?

Wow - sucks. Really hope he's OK. Definitely the best coach we've had through 5 games - love the rotations, love his common sense approach, love BG on the bench. Come back soon Cliff!

This is really unfortunate, hopefully it turns out negative as nothing serious.

Guessing Ewing will be coaching us tonight? Hope it's nothing serious but I can't imagine Clifford will be coaching tonight right after 24 hours in the hospital.

Take as much time as you need, Clifford. The team is in good hands with Ewing

I hope all is ok and glad they caught it early.

Monday too soon to return? You'd think so surely?

btw guys,

dont be afraid to create a new thread when something very news worthy about a player or coach breaks. stuff doesnt have to go in the merged index threads. use your best judgement. we dont need people starting new threads just to post a link about somebody talking about one of our guys, but something like our head coach missing games due to heart problems, thats new thread worthy.

carry on...

get well soon clifford. and fire ewing when you get better.
