McDermott isn't anything more than a spot up shooter right now at Creighton, what makes you think he could turn into more in the NBA? Chandler Parsons took home SEC player of the year honors and didnt really blossom until Harden came along. If we get McDermott, I think you're just acquiring a 3 pt specialist on a second unit. If you have that high of a pick, thats a bad selection for what he brings to the team

McDermott is much more than a "3 pt specialist" . That is usually the highlight reel they show of him, but he has a post game and loves contact. He is big and strong. He is no where near the rebounder that K-Love is, but his inside/ out game is comparable. Probably more like Melo with the way he can score from anywhere. BUT, I am not saying he will be close to either one of those guys. Just his game in college is comparable.

McD is underrated imo, he can play the 3/4 even if only spotting up and catch and shoot from the 3 position.

I'm pretty sure he'll even be able to play the 2 as a spot up shooter and switching onto the 3 defensively (or just play MKG at the 2)

I haven't seen much of him this season, but if he's even better this season than the last 2 then he should go late lotto-mid first.

Who on either Duke or Syracuse would fit the Hornets next year the best? I like Rodney Hood personally.

Jabari Parker. He could play the stretch 4 role for us that Cho and Clifford so desperately want and he's probably the most transcending playing in the draft other than Embiid.

Good points. Too bad he won't be around when we draft though.

In that case I would say Rodney Hood if we're going by who would most likely be available by our pick.

Would Hood start or Henderson?

Hood needs to work on his ball handling a little, but he would be fantastic as our SG. He has a wonderful stroke.

The pick is currently pick 10 so several good-fits are in play imo:

Zach LaVine
James Young
Gary Harris
Rodney Hood

We're going to definitely add another young player to a good core of Kemba + Al Jefferson + MKG + maybe Evan Turner.

This Pistons pick is looking so sexy, my God.

Locked in at 9. Bobcats above and Lakers below. Brandon Jennings 5-23 tonight.

We have a home and home against them in 3 weeks I think.

Two very big games

We need to pound them, vault into the playoffs and ice that pick. It's actually locked at 10 right now because the Knicks just lost to Portland by 4. I expect the Knicks to finish ahead of the Pistons though.

Dumars job depends on this season. Smith is almost untradeable, and is terrible at SF. If I were him I would trade Monroe for a pretty damn solid SF and have a more balanced team.

Hes an idiot though so I doubt he does that.

I don't think there is any saving them with Jennings at the point and chucker Smith unmovable. Plus they are poorly coached and you can't change a team midstream after losing them. They are imploding. There is no way they get past us or stave off the Knicks. The question now becomes can the Celtics blow past them in which case we would lose the pick. Rondo is back and they won tonight. They have everyone healthy.

And if they pull a Portland I'm almost tempted to try to trade them back their pick along with our dead weight contracts for Monroe.

If I'm Detroit trying to salvage their season, I try to trade Josh Smith and Brandon Jennings for any half decent point guard. Of course it's Detroit, so they'll trade their bench for Evan Turner or something, compounding their issue so far they miss the playoffs altogether.

Pistons fan who comes in peace.

Personally, I still dry retch at the thought of that dreadful trade, but I can envisage two scenarios. Either Dumars pulls the trigger on a big trade at the deadline and we improve enough to sneak into the playoffs, or we trade to get worse (or even stand pat) and end up being bad enough to keep our pick.

The third scenario is that we do indeed send a #9 or #10 pick to you guys, and should almost certainly spell the end of Dumars career.

I hope for both our sakes it actually happens. We get a high pick, you guys get rid of Dumars. Win-win
