5 favorite Beatles songs (5 bonus) mostly songs that didn't get too overplayed during my lifetime, which rules out 90% of their catalog. What remains are the songs that I never got tired of hearing, no matter how many times I've heard the song.

1. Abbey Road Medley - kinda cheating since its really a 7-song segue
a) You Never Give Me Your Money
b) Sun King
c) Mean Mr Mustard
d) Polythene Pam
e) She Came In Through The Bathroom Window
f) Golden Slumbers
g) End

2. Day In The Life

3. Happiness Is A Warm Gun

4. Dig A Pony

5. I Want You (She's So Heavy)

Bonus

6. Two Of us

7. Eight Days A Week

8. I'm Only Sleeping

9. Lovely Rita

10. And Your Bird Can Sing

1) Abbey Road Medley - I'll cheat as well. Golden Slumbers is my favourite part of the medley, I love the way McCartney sings the chorus. such a balance between him singing so powerfully yet beautifully.

2) Something

3) Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds

4) Come Together

5) Hey Jude

Bonus:

6) Blackbird

7) Let It Be

8) And Your Bird Can Sing

9) Happiness Is a Warm Gun

10) I'm So Tired

HM: Strawberry Fields Forever, A Day in the Life

The list must have changed with every year though. I started to listen to them at about the age of 7 through this CD we had which worked kind of like a computer program, you'd have an interactive board of all of their albums, could listen to every one of them and every song also had lyrics. So way back then I probably was more fond of their older, more rock & roll stuff.

Braggins, as a fan of Guitar Gently Weeps what do you think of this K-os tune:

Its impossible not to be able to name 5 Beatles songs, even if you hate them, unless you have been in a coma since birth or living in the rainforest with a native tribe that doesn't have electricity.

I know 5 Beatles songs. I can pick them out when I hear them. Sing lyrics, I'm sure. But to name them off the top of my head would be rather difficult.

It also takes me about 4-5 seasons of a tv show for me to start knowing characters names as well.

Have you watched The Wire? I have to wonder how you did with all the characters they had by the end of the series.

My favorite show of all time. I loved every bit of it. I still couldn't tell you every name of every character, but I could go in depth and describe each person. While watching the shows I don't get lost in context because I see what's going on, but an hour after the show goes off I am like so what was that guys name that got killed by that other dude. I can process everything, but for some reason names are not a part of that.

My two nephews are hearing impaired. They can hear with the aid of what is called Cochlear implants, but they watch TV with the closed-captions on to help. I've gotten used to closed-caption and now I use it on pretty much any drama that I watch. It really helps me pick out dialogue and character names that I would normally overlook. Also really helps on shows with thick accents like Game of Thrones or Copper.
