I thought you were underwhelmed by him when I mentioned him a month ago?

I was definitely underwhelmed by him in preseason, but I'm glad to see he's taking care of business. Just looking at those clips YB posted, the level of defense being played in these games looks like the Chinese league, so I am still skeptical.

More than anything, is he a center or a forward? Do we groom him to be a pick and roll guy or a stretch 4? Seems he's caught in-between.

Stretch 4 who also has good hands, can dive to the rim and finish with power.

When we signed him I compared him to what Tyrus was meant to be but but wasn't and actually is.

He's no where close to ready to play for us now. Notwithstanding all those blocks, his defense was practically non-existent, and he'd get broken trying to board against physical bigs. He also is pretty much a single minded scorer. The offensive tools and physical ability are clearly there and it's nice to see him dominating on that end.

He just turned 21 in September. I'm really excited to see what he looks like next year.

The Greensboro Swarm have acquired Aaron Harrison. He played games with team which qualified him for in-season affiliate rule.

Mumford picked a good day to have the 1st triple double in Swarm history - 20, 11, 10.

Would be such a Hornets move to have a player in their Dleague, then watch another team snatch him up, he finds a role, produces, meanwhile we play Brian Roberts. LOL. Or not.

Also, I find it odd that Harrison now coming off the bench, only played 22 minutes. When he was under contract he was starting and playing 40. Were the Swarm force feeding him minutes over better players just because of his contract? Probably. That's what they are supposed to do. But its telling that he's no longer a starter.

Oh, and the Swarm surely did not get the memo from Clifford about not playing small ball. They are basically starting 4 guards and Wood. Wilkins as a PF, Goodwin as SF? Sure, OK.

I think Harrison's only true pro-level skill is getting to the FT line.

Swarm game started at 3:00 and is on ESPNU. Not sure what the deal is but Wood started the game on the bench and hasn't come in yet halfway through the 1st. First subs were Perry Ellis and Harrison, Tobey got the start.

Second quarter and still no Wood. Could be a few things - hurt, broke team rule, trade?

Are they perhaps wanting to give some of the non-NBA-contract guys some floor-time to get some exposure for the big audience? Wood playing well, doesn't help him land on a team. Tobey getting minutes and playing well might earn him a 10-day.

Good point, hadn't thought of that.

Swarm add an NBA player.

@GreensboroSwarm
BREAKING @PelicansNBA assign forward Cheick Diallo to Swarm pursuant to @nbadleague flexible assignment rule. https://t.co/GIllXQoNVD

Because the Pelicans don't have an NBADL team, they're assigned to other affiliates.

Interesting that they picked the Swarm to assign him to. Guessing it's because we just pulled CWood to the main roster and that creates a bit of a need. Mildly surprised because we pretty much suck (9-20, 4th worst record) which suggests maybe a coaching issue, but I guess they aren't worried about that.
