Depends on where the pick is, but Melo's busted shooting % with a busted shooting form has me pretty scared. I don't see how he doesn't run into the same issues as his brother.

Though if we finish/pick at 7, I'd take him over Cole Anthony.

the bits I saw of him, he really did look a lot like his brother on the court, only taller.

that's not necessarily bad, but doesn't have me super excited

MasterIchiro wouldn’t.

Because Cole Anthony is his guy.

He’d take Cole Anthony over Edwards, Melo, Wiseman - all of them.

He’d even take his guy Cole Anthony over Obi Toppin!!!

Please don't do this. Let MI speak for himself.

My hope is that we land Wiseman, Melo or Carey. My expectation is we land Anthony and spend years talking ourselves into him.

Onyeka Okongwu is growing on me. If he had a more advanced passing game or outside jumper he'd easily be my top pick in this draft.

Isn't he an undersized, energy 5?

How does be compare to Biz?

We need to win this lottery or finish 2nd. The rest of this draft is pretty iffy. Probably some good talent to uncover but it doesn't exactly bubble to the surface as obviously as it does with Wiseman.

I kinda see him as an Emeka Okafor type with much quicker feet and defensive versatility. I like him in the 4-8 range in this weak draft. He's way more advanced offensively than Biz, I just wish he had a little something extra. Even a mediocre three-point shot might put him ahead of Wiseman for me.

Cole Anthony is not my guy anymore. I've had a new guy for months. And my new guy is Mitch's guy, once again, for the third consecutive draft.
It has been written...

So.... Who IS your guy? Or are you going to keep it secret for some silly reason until after the draft and hit everyone with the "AHA I KNEW IT" thing?

It’s funny, isn’t it?

At least a poster like UNCNYC identifies a guy and stands by him/them and never waivers from saying he supported them. From the Japanese dude in Memphis to McDaniels - you have to respect UNCNYC’s character.

Anyone can look like they think they know something about anything if they continually flip flop.

I guarantee I’ll nail who the stars will be out of the 2020 draft class - just ask me in Jan/Feb of next year and I’ll scream from the mountain tops who “my guy” was.

After guys get measured, I'll like all the freakishly long players for their position that look like they can handle the ball, don't have have a completely busted shot mechanics, and were productive at the level they are at now. That seems to be the general formula to being a stud NBA player with some exceptions. The further back in the draft the more compromises you can make.

I like that there are a couple super tall PGs in Hayes and Halliburton. Haven't seen either play but I like the idea of facilitating, tall PGs that can shoot.

Wouldn't hate them, Wiseman, or Okongwu.

I can't like Okongwu.

Dude has only made one three pointer all year.

I just can't.

Is there any reason to think we could trade our FRP this year for a quality veteran player (perhaps a center/perceived biggest need)? We have a lot of young players to go forward with, and this draft is seemingly pretty top heavy and not very deep. If this is a possible direction we could go in, anyone have any ideas regarding what kind of player we could get for the 6-10th overall pick? Just a thought...still think we're very likely to just pick the best available player wherever we end up after the draft lottery.

Only if we land the #1 and trade for Simmons or Embiid
