It is still too early for me to be on the Scoot is a guaranteed lock at number 2. He of course will be a top 5 pick, but still a ton of basketball to be played in college, especially conference tourneys and ncaa tourney which is usually where guys rise and fall the most.

Also, when it comes to Amen and Ausar Thompson, I would not count them out. I did some research on the OTE league today and the talent level is not nearly as low as some want you to believe.

Outside Amen and Ausar who are projected top 10 picks.. other guys playing in OTE listed below. Reminder only 8 teams, but majority of good players listed below on 2-3 teams.

Matt and Ryan Bewley were the #3 and #20 prospects in the 2023 class.
Rob Dillingham is #8 and committed to play at Kentucky
Kanann Carlyle is #28 in 2023
Nas Cunningham is #3 in 2024
Somto Cyril #31 in 2024
Jakhi Howard #33 in 2024
Jayden Williams #33 in 2024
Bryson Tiller #5 in 2025

I admittedly do not track draft prospects at all during the year, but Tankathon has Amen's stats as 24 pts, 8.4 boards, 8.4 assists, 3.2 stl. Are those not accurate?

No you are viewing everyone stats in the per36 view. You need to toggle to per game view.

I'll ask for a 2nd time what do you guys think about cam Whitmore? Personally I like him and if we land a 4th pick up until now I would consider him. He has the potential to fill the miles situation. Maybe a higher upside.

Ive watched a few of his games. He hasn't been as consistent as youd like, but has shown some nice flashes. Its been kind of hard to evaluate some things because hes coming off a thumb surgery and playing with a wrap on his shooting hand.

He does remind me a bit of a SG/SF version of Miles. Ive seen him listed at 6'6" and 6'7", but he looks a little smaller, more like 6'6" max. He also doesn't have a great wingspan. Hes kind of got the Miles thing going on where hes really strong and really athletic vertically, but doesn't have as good lateral quickness or first step as youd expect (not bad, just doesn't pop as much there). Sometimes I think he might similarly benefit from cutting a little weight like Miles did after his freshman year of college to maximize his quickness/explosion. Hes currently listed at 230+, but looks like he might be better at around 220 earlier in his career.

His shot probably projects pretty well and his handle has been decent. I give him a little benefit of the doubt on those things because of the hand issue. Hes got good slashing ability and hes hard to stop from getting to the basket when he gets a step on his man. He has some decent stuff with step backs he'll do to create his shot when teams play for the drive. Hes been showing some nice defensive flashes. He hasn't shown a lot of vision or much playmaking ability, but has been making some nice reads/passes here and there when hes gotten the opportunity.

At times its just felt like hes still been figuring out his place on the team and he hasn't completely put all his tools together, but I think hes one of the most intriguing guys after Wemby/Scoot. His draft stock could vary quite a bit based on how the rest of this season goes.

I think he's 6'6 wo shoes. I think he's about a 6'10 wingspan. But what i like about him is he's assertive. He's als9 18 until July. He plays a bit of bully ball which I like next to finesse Melo.

I would have guessed 6'6" with shoes and a 6'8" or so wingspan. Ive had a little trouble gauging his size, I think maybe because almost everyone on the Villanova team looks like they are a similar size. He looks shorter than Anthony Black to me.

I lean towards Anthony Black at 3 and Whitmore at 4 at the moment, but I'm also kind of assuming a bit that Whitmore will continue to improve on his early play after returning from the injury. I'm also not that confident of anything after Wemby/Scoot at 1/2.

I'm not either. Which is why I'm trying to think of a 3 or 4th pick that could be worth it.

Scoot and VW are both franchise player types. I am cool with either of those guys. After that it gets more iffy. We better have the balls drop our way for once.

Anthony Black with 18/6/3 vs Vanderbilt and apparently nearly started a riot by taunting their bench.

Brandon Miller with 31/9 with 7 made 3s. Hes been creeping back up my ranking recently.

Cason Wallace is in free fall.

I noticed that in his last game he seemed to get a bit testy out there... I have not been able to find clip of the incident you are referring too in it's totality... Just people saying they didn't like what he did...

Brandon Miller - I like a lot.. I think the only thing he is missing is that the EXPERTS didn't annoint him number 1 or 2 like vw and scoot. They did do that with Nick Smith and I have not been impressed with him at all when healthy...

Cason Wallace - I never been huge on but I think he is better than I thought.

Still one game left Wyoming VS Boise St 11:00 FS1. I like Hunter Maldanado and Marcus Shaver JR. .

Maldanado is a HUGE hyrid 6'7 PG that I think used to play center in High School.

I thoroughly enjoy watching Brandon Miller shoot a basketball.

Jarace Walker is kind of like a jacked version of PJ. 6'8" 240 plus wingpsan, versatile defender, and plays like a role playing wing on offense. He turns 20 in September, so hes a little older than most other freshman (still solidly younger than BMiller). He plays for a stacked veteran Houston team, so he might not be showing as much as he could in a larger role. His last two games hes put up 23/10/3 and 21/5 with 3 steals. Hes one of the more interesting guys after the top 2 imo and hes trending upwards. My current top 6 is Wemby/Scoot/Black/Whitmore/Walker/Miller.

per75 possession box score: 19.7 pts ~ 11.6 reb ~ 3.4 ast ~ 1.8 stl ~ 1.7 blk
shooting: 48.6/40.0/71.0 shooting ~ 3.4 3ptA/75 ~ 3.5 ftA/75
advanced box: 24.2 PER ~ 54.8% ts% ~ +10 BPM ~ .269 ws/40 ~ 122.3 oRTG ~ 81.0 dRTG

I can't find it either. His highlight video I found for the game briefly showed him stepping over the guy after the and-1, which probably would have gotten a tech for taunting in the NBA and apparently afterwards he did a baby crying motion to the bench lol. This team honestly needs someone with some dog in them who gets after it like he does, so as long as it doesn't become a big issue I'm not too worried about it at this point.

Miller has arguably been the best of the freshman NCAA class so far, but I still gotta downgrade him a bit for already being 20. Its really hard to imagine him not being a good pro, though. Apparently hes shot 31/52 (61%) from 2pt over his last 10 games and is 16/24 at the rim over his last 7 games. He should be trending up.

Only one game today I wanna watch.

Ohio State vs Rutgers - ( Justice Sueing, VS Clifford Omoruyi ) 2:15 BIG TEN NETWORK

Justice Sueing is such a valuable player. He is someone I hope we consider 2nd round. He is around 6'7 and does a little of everything. Sometimes runs point, takes charges, hits the 3 etc... such a value pick. So many value picks that are upper classmen in this draft

He's not a flashy player but definately a player you want to draft.
