If we win enough to really slide down the 1st round, I want Furphy. His shooting was the part I wasn’t sold on, but he’s really shooting well now. We need a mulletted Aussie

Johnny Furphy has been terrific. People need to start looking at Furphy as a legit lottery pick in this draft pool

Who would you compare him to on the NBA level?

Having done extremely little research, my early front runner is Risacher. Excellent shooter, seems to be solid athleticism, good length, currently holding his own in a professional league.

Starting to pick up buzz as of late. Excellent shooter from 3, great size as you said. Flip side of the coin, struggles with dribbling and needs a lot of growing to become a good passer. I like him as a late lotto guy, think his upside is good so long as he becomes more than just a shooter.

Discount Jabari Smith.

Shoutout to Wilson115 for finding Tyler Smith. Believe it or not I knew nothing of him but he is such uncnyc type of player. The reason why I knew nothing of him is for some bizarre reason this year I have had GREAT success in this draft. Litteraly about 20 players I like (who weren't projected at all on most mocks a year ago) are expected to be drafted in both rounds so any more scouting would have been over drafting.

I have summed up my first pick options to just 4 players

BuB Carrington
Dalton Knect
Kevin McCullar
Bobi Klintman

I really like Carrington. If he returns to school next year he is more than likely a top 5 pick.

He is clearly a talent but the last thing we need is another tall lanky guy with a questionable motor and strength imo.

I don’t really know anything about this guy but I think we need to draft him.

Cream Abdul Jabbar is his alias apparently

I really want to like Reed because he impacts the game on both ends, but I just can't get excited about the idea of using a top 5 pick on a 6'2 off guard. How impactful can a less athletic, slightly smaller Suggs/Smart be on defense?

That said I want a 2-way player that isn't a weakling and won't shy away when the game gets physical. Anyone that fits that description is worth considering.

Reed has great steal and block percentage, but I think overall he is a pretty mediocre defender. Kentucky is 230th in def rating, they bring Reed off the bench. Not saying it is 1 for 1, but I get some LaMelo vibes from him on defense with great anticipation but not a good 1 on 1 defender.

Dillon Jones is a player I have seen who had a good showing at the combine. Since I have more than enough players to be drafted this year I haven't felt I had the need to do much research but he caught my eye for pick #2.

Stephon Castle is a Lu Dort or Marcus Smart type. Maybe not a primary scorer but an integral part of a winning team. Interesting that Sam Vecenie at the Athletic has moved Castle to #5 in his latest Mock
Welcome to the top five, Stephon Castle! Over the last month, few freshmen around college basketball have been better than the 6-6 guard/wing hybrid, who is averaging 12.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists in his last 12 games while shooting 49.4 percent from the field and 39.3 percent from 3. He’s played at a really high level on defense too, taking on tough assignments in variety of different roles, ranging from point-of-attack defender to general off-ball helper. His versatility has been a huge part of Connecticut’s stingy unit.

No other freshman in the country is consistently impacting games positively for a winning team. Castle immediately stepping into the No. 1 team in the country and making this large of a contribution sets him up to be in the top-five conversation for the rest of the season.

I think it's time to at least consider moving on from Melo... I have felt this way for a couple years now. Just peaked at the draft and not too many PG's that probably will be taken first round but these guys could be there late first or 2nd.

PGS -
BuB Carrington,
Kevin McCullar, - Guy does a little bit of everything.
Ajay Mitchell - a throwback PG, reminds me of Killian Hayes. (might should consider drafting him)
Naithan George, - Huge potential to be a franchise PG but prolly wont enter the draft
Myles Rice - Pure PG, love his game but prolly wont enter till next year
Aidan Mahaney, - I like his game a lot but not sure he will enter
Tristen Newton - He could be a steal
Pop Isaac - Fun player
Kam Jones,
Juan Nunez,
RayJ Dennis, - Reminds me of Mark Jackson a bit
Daniss Jenkins
Taran Armstrong,
Boogie Ellis
