Moussa can play with a 5 that can shoot 3's. Simmons and Lowe suggested Bam, but there's no way that Miami trades Bam to Charlotte, even if its the right move for Miami

They’d be stupid to not take the offer he stated. What was it miles grant 14th pick their pick back or something? They know it’s time to blow it up

14th, Miami pick, 2029 unprotected Charlotte, Miles and Grant

I'd rather keep Miles and try to make it Mann, Salaun, whatever instead

I would personally give each of you $1000 if Miami actually trades Bam to us and if Bam is ever LaMelo’s teammate

Zero chance Miami is making a deal with us after the Roizer stuff. Bias put aside, dumping that bum onto them was extremely sketchy of our FO.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

Moose! Love his hustle and passion. Wish he was 3 inches taller but it is what it is.

They should just name the award after Moose.

Since we chose to pick up his 2.6 Million option this year he is set to be a UFA after this year. I thought they might try to get sneaky and decline his option this year and try to use that good faith to sign him to a cheaper long term deal. Since that option is out the window and he will be unrestricted next year, how much are you willing to give him on his next deal?

Luckily they still have a year to sniff things out with moose. I think a lot depends on what we do in the draft, If we trade for a center, Or any progress from tiddy That indicates he might be able to fill that role. Also a lot I think depends on what type of improvements we see from Moose this season. I feel like he took a fairly noticeable leap last year, is he done, or does he have more to add to his game? unsure. It is kind of a bummer that they don't have RFA status.

https://www.spotrac.com/nba/contracts/_/position/c

^ looking here to try to get an idea of some salary comps.

okongwu 4/61
beef 4/60
aldama 3/52
claxton 4/97
poetl 3/84
wendell 3/58
gafford 3/54
goga 3/25
jaylin 3/24

Contracts are a bit all over the place.... 8mil to 28mil per season

if we could lock him up on something similar to okongwu or beef I think I'd be OK with that. But I would probably pass at Claxton/poetl level contract -- Much as it would break my heart to see him go elsewhere. would do back flips for a jaylin/goga contract, But that seems pretty unlikely given that those guys were signed to be backups and Moose is most likely our starter again next year for the second year in a row.

Would you rather pay Moussa 15 million per year or draft Quaintance/Morez to replace him making 4-5 million the next few years?

It depends on how Quaintance and Morez looked their rookie seasons and how Moussa looks this season.

Not the specific question you asked, but I would not avoid drafting a C because I'm worried about being too crowded at the position, I'd still be going BPA.

Yeah but it would likely depend on which center I wanted. If I were keeping Moussa I would lean more to Hannes since he brings more shooting and offense. Or if I am less likely to keep Moussa I would lean more JQ or Morez.
