With our next pick we take Troy Murphy as our white boy. Back-up bigman and solid bench rebounder.

Fats, you've put Okafor against my international selection, not the 'never an all star' pick. I thought Okafor was born and breed in Houston.

Paydro70 wrote:Heh, I'd be ruined... Rondo and AK wouldn't be bringing much to the table. So far the smart money would be on doc.end probably. Set to dominate rebounds and percentages, plus some good 3-ball production.
I'd be more interested in putting these teams together and simming on NBA2k9... but there's only 12 so you can't do a series of tournaments, and you definitely can't do a season.
Well i didn't set my team as for fantasy purposes however I looked on stats of players. But as soon as we are starting picking bench players there would be a major difference between fantasy and rules of this game - simply we expect players to play in NBA although some probably wouldn't - players from european teams, possibly players from category without a single minute in 08/09, 35+ category, undrafted rokies and such.
(if this would be for fantasy league I would actually have to tank blocks with my team and I would try to find a league with FT% as a category, my team is strong in this - by accident)

Olajuwon34 wrote:With they're 5th selection the Rastafarian Zealots pick Ben Gordon in the European slot(originally from UK) and switch the Turkish Hedo Turkoglu to international. The gm addressed the teams severe lack of defense by quoting these famous words 'you ain't seen nothing yet'.
Al Jefferson
Paul Millsap
Hedo Turkoglu
Ben Gordon
Gilbert Arenas
i was going to pick him but then I realized Calderon slipped to me and as I didn't have a pure pg at the time I prefered Calderon (dind't count he would be available). I'm glad Gordon didn't last long and is not that big steal as if he would be forgotten and picked in later round

Re: summer fun: fantasy draft contest - walber on the clock
Steve Nash and Carlos Boozer create a 2-man offensive juggernaut, while Andre Iguodala and "Crazy" Ron Artest make up for any defensive liabilities (and then some) with the perfect combination of strength and athleticism. This power-packing team will impose it's will on whoever is unlucky enough to fall upon it's path of destruction. Appropriately, they have been dubbed:
The Legion of Doom
With their fifth pick, LoD selects:

RASHEED WALLACE, 2008 NBA All-Star
When the champ is motivated, he's one of the most talented big guys in the league. He has a phenomenal mastery of the game for someone of his size and is a game changer on both ends of the court. His elite status as a ring holder will rally his teammates, focusing their sights on a common goal--becoming world champions themselves.

I now expect your crew to have the best pre game dance routine in the league with Sheed on board.

I expect Walbers crew to be down two players for most of the season for being douche bags and getting suspended.

No, he's not a Euro... the way we've done this so far is birthplace, and his is in the Sudan. He's an international.
