I'm in the camp of hoping we do whatever it takes to get DeMarcus Cousins as long as it doesn't involve Kemba or MKG. The Kings can have either or both of the Portland/Detroit picks. Cousins' talent is proven and he's still very young. It would be riskier to take a gamble on any of the upcoming draft PF/C than taking a shot at Cousins because he has an attitude problem. Theoretically I'm saying that I would rather have 1 DeMarcus Cousins than 2 Ekpe Udohs.

Put me down for against. When was the last time a team won it all with a big man who was considered a cancer? A player like Cousins only ruins his team's chemistry and keeps them in the lottery. I seriously can't see Cousins being any happier here than he is in Sacremento.

Exactly. That Portland pick won't yield us much more than a fringe starter or a role player. There's a fair chance the Detroit pick is the same way. DMC is an elite talent and teams with elite talent are the ones who win.

I'd love, love, LOVE to see this happen:

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=c9zutkd

Hendo out
Sullinger in

They get some much needed depth on their wing with a young vet that still has upside and helps with their defensive identity while welcoming the son of a Celtics fave.

We get an offensive post player who also crashes the boards who is on a rookie contract and who has a very high BBIQ.

Sullinger would be sick on our (anaemic) 2nd unit IIMO and could even push to start eventually.

Nah. Remember the last time we brought in an undersized post player with conditioning flags?

Sullinger is really good, that's why he actually gets minutes in Boston.

They wouldn't do the trade, they have Pierce, Terry, Courtney Lee, and Avery Bradley.

also slam, sullinger would start over Mullens surely

I agree. I think he is really good.

I thnk they really miss that Tony Allen type wing. Lee can hardly get playing time, Terry is in ths twilight and Bradley is still a huge question mark.

I would hope so, although I would really like him to anchor our 2nd unit to start with.

They don't really have a back up to Rondo. Wonder if they would have interest in a Session for Sullinger trade - although Hendo and Lee would have to be added to even out salaries

Hendo and Sessions
for
Sullinger and Lee

Would have been nice to pick up Livingston off waivers to back up Kemba though.

Swapping hendo for lee is adding all around value, and Sullinger has more upside than sessions. Rondo, while a good defender isn't a very tall guy so Sessions adds some versatility... It's not completely far fetched, depends on how much they want to rely on sullinger for their future after this season

The way Sullinger played on Christmas day and the lack of frontcourt depth the Celtics have, would they want to trade away someone like Sullinger for two perimeter players? A player like Sullinger is valuable to the Celtics if they want to make a playoff push.

Kevin Garnett was really good, and then he didn't.

No one cares dude, there's nothing to suggest that Sullinger will get fat.

Henderson would look good on the bucks roster, but don't know what you would want. I was thinking Udoh for Henderson, but salaries don't match up

Hendo, Diop
for
Udoh, Udrih, lotto protected

Hendo for Udoh and a pick then we switch expirings.

Yeah thats probably what i'd spend, from the bucks POV i'd get a little more creative.
Bucks Get Henderson
Third Team takes Dally
CHA gets lotto protected first, plus what we can get from a third team taking on dally

so maybe 2 protected firsts to us? that's acceptable

I wouldn't say dally has that type of value, but maybe a recent 2012 second round pick or pick around 28-40.

The price is probably too high for the bucks at the moment, but something like this is something to ponder at the deadline.
