Is Jefferson, Hendo, and the Portland pick for E. Gordon and R. Anderson too rich for you guys? It'd leave us thin at C and move Biz into the starting spot but the draft could yield some solid bigs with Embiid, Cauley-Stein and others.

Id prefer to see Jefferson with our guys before even trading him to be honest.

Well we can't trade him until December (15th I think) anyway so that's a given.

Much too rich. Take away the Portland pick and I might be down. Jefferson has more value than Gordon and is more of a desperate need for the Pelicans unless they want to continue hindering the development of their young guards with a logjam for minutes.

Either way I think Biyombo needs to sit a season or two behind Jefferson for two main reasons.

1) It will make Biyombo a lot better in the long run
2) We will be able to resign him cheaper when the time comes.

Well, the thing is it sounds like MJ is going to throw some major $$ at somebody in the offseason and there aren't many SGs available that can actually shoot and are worth starting. A lot of old, mostly "name" guys like Vince Carter, Jamal Crawford, Kobe, Wade, Allen, etc. Unrealistic targets. There's a couple guys that might be okay given new scenery in Jordan Hamilton, MarShon Brooks, Lance Stephenson (can't see him leaving Indy), etc. Then Gordon Hayward or Evan Turner if they don't get deals worked out with their teams.

If we're going to get a SG that can actually shoot it looks more likely that we trade for one. Maybe draft one but that's risky, especially considering our draft history. I dunno, we could be in for some surprises this year.

its been said before, but if this Jefferson thing don't workout perhaps Jefferson for Gordon/ Evans? Both of their contracts blow. Jefferson would fit them perfectly, but Im still not sure if I would accept their contracts in return

I like Jordan Hamilton as a cheap sleeper. He can really shoot. But if we're going to spend money I wouldn't mind Evan Turner because he's a playmaker that can facilitate and help Kemba with ballhandling duties.

Turner can be redundant to MKG in my opinion. Id wait for him to prove for atleast 20-30 games that he can shoot the deep ball with consistency before id try to trade for him.

I have the same reservation. OTOH, if we threw the Portland pick at Philly for ET that would still be pretty decent value I guess.

To be honest id throw both the Det and Port picks for Turner right now. We are getting nothing out of the SG position. Taylor is a nice player, but hes a role player. Hell, maybe Turner is a role player, but hes ripping it up right now. Henderson is.... well hes Henderson.

I've always been a Turner fan, and I think hes going to shine this season

Edit: Philly wants to tank. Would be hilarious if they unloaded one of their solid guys for pennies on the dollar.

Turner is himself again now that Doug Collins is gone and he's shedded 20 pounds. He's back to his Ohio State form.

This crap about Turner not considering himself a part of Hinkie/Philly's future is to drum up interest for both trade or free agency.

The reason he wouldn't have signed an extension is because Philly would have lowballed him based on his previous body of work as opposed to how he's been since preseason.

Philly will wait to see how the season plays out and see what offers he gets in free agency before matching.

Would Charlotte consider:

Receives - Eric Gordon
Sends- Ben Gordon, Detroit 1st, Portland 1st

Hornets get their SG without giving up any talent.

Gordon for Gordon would be OK with me.

I probably wouldn't mind this proposal if Eric Gordon is still legit. I'm gonna have to do a little scouting on his game tonight. I haven't really seen him play since he was with the Clippers.

Which pick do you think is more valuable in the long run? I want to say the Portland pick because I think Detroit will continue their fight of staying a 8-10th in the East. I can see the Blazers going into tank mode after finally trading Aldridge between now and the offseason.
