but he's been benchworthy all game. he'll rev it up just a little bit to do a drive, and that's about all he's got juice for right now. the conclusions just come from that.

I do think there are some overreactions going on right now, not just you. Bouk looked like a different player in the 2nd quarter, and I think it has to do with confidence. Not sure if that’s a good thing either, but he just has to learn to have that light switched on at all times.

If we could stop making Jones look like the second coming of Iverson that'd be great.

Hes going to be the biggest steal of the draft in years.

I'm pretty high on him myself, but not sure if you're being completely serious. Biggest steal of the draft in years? Do you see him being a high-end starter for us in ~2 years? Because I think he'd have to be at least that for him to be considered the biggest steal of the draft in years.

all of Bouknight's good plays came after I posted that comment, fwiw. but you're not wrong in pointing to his confidence. at least when he did have good plays you could see his skills coming through like you would hope. explosive first step, great court vision during his drives, body control in the air, pretty good touch around the rim, and so on.

these are his first impressions in a Hornets uniform, so it's naturally going to make a big impact on how people evaluate him as a prospect, draft pick, whatever. if lack of confidence is getting inside his head in summer league... then he's got a ways to go before he can be a rotation player. lack of confidence shouldn't affect how you get down the floor after a miss or how you execute a routine top-of-the-key pass, for example.

Bouknight must've been at the casino's last night or something.

He also used to dance naked in front of the mirror. Don't know why that random piece of information has been stuck in my head for 30 years...lol.

I think Bouknight stepped out there and the ref missed it, but still a great look to Carey for the and-1. he's definitely integrated himself into the game a whole lot better after the first 1.5 quarters, and I'm glad to see it
