Risacher looked completely different in his SL debut (in a good way), hoping Tidjane can do the same. I know a lot of draft people like Tidjane more than Risacher

This for me as well, he’s a project, they’re betting on his work ethic and physical abilities to become something special. Not a player out of the gate

Looks like you were right about Reed Sheppard as well. I was impressed with him the most. My only thing is he is a true pg. With the ball in his hands you will get the most out of him as a player. Dude can ball I was totally wrong about him.

Also another guy who I wanted as a trade back option Terrence Shannon Jr also looked great in his debut. This draft might not be as bad as people thought.

Glad to see you came around and admitted it. Watching that game, he looked damn good with the ball in his hands. He can play PG for stretches at least.

It's kind of odd to see a guy so athletic and fast that can't jump very high. I wonder if he can work on that. He should have slammed home that And 1 but couldn't get the lift

Those highlights were reassuring
Hopefully he can work on the skills and gain confidence/refinement

He seems like a big boned kind of guy. He either has a good bit of height left to grow into or he's going to be a thicc, bruiser type

Yeah I know people are calling this kid a project, but from what I saw I see a kid who will earn minutes this year.

#1 Hustle! He brings it, will easily be one of the most energized players on the team.

#2 He actually has a decent shot. Form looks great, if he can knock those 3pt shots down it's going to do wonders for his game.

#3 Rebounding he brings energy those rebounds will come with the effort he brings.

#4 NBA body, yeah this kid already has a good looking body and he's still growing. I expect him to have a Aaron Gordon type body when he fully matures.

Forget the Greensboro talk this kid is going to be a backup this season. Wouldn't shock me if he's starting towards the end of the season. He's going to be another major piece to our core.

Like what I saw in a small sample size. With the cuts we made recently, I think he is a rotational guy pretty early on. Favorite thing was he didn't shy away from contact or physicality.

Looking forward/nervous to see how it goes the rest of summerleague; Miller and maybe NSJr being gone will definitely up his usage on the team.

NSjr is weirdly going to find it tougher to get minutes in the regular season purely because of all the guards ahead of him. Salaun is 3rd pf at least with a thin sf line as well

nsj is 7th or 8th in the rotation for minutes at the guard/wings behind - melo, micic/jackson, green, mann, miller, martin. he won't be in the rotation next season unless he beats out mann or until the inevitable injury bug hits.

Here's a fun question: Would you rather TS play 10-12 min per game in the NBA, or go to Gboro and play 25-30 min per night?

He will likely do both so the question may be moot, but I would like to see him spend some time in Gboro and work on weak parts of his game where the results don't matter. If he shows growth there I would be fine moving him back up to the active roster. What I don't want to see happen is he makes the roster, gets limited minutes and then slows his development arc.

Probably mixing it up is good for him. Unless he surprises and is ready to play 16 minutes off the bench immediately. And he might be?

yeah, i suspect he'll spend a chunk of dec/jan in gboro. 10-15 games would be good for him.

That's not a huge achievement. Kai will never get it.
