Healthy Eric Gordon >>>>>> Chicago Ben Gordon. EG plays defense and is an all-around impressive scorer. More importantly, he isn't a complete (Please Use More Appropriate Word) on the court.

I like both Eric Gordon and Evan Turner as targets. We have the assets to get players like this and I hope we do but something tells me we will time our next big acquisition for our return season as the Hornets. We'll have a much better picture of the draft at that point, how our pick looks, DET pick and POR pick and how Henderson and MKG look at that point.

I know these names have been thrown out time after time, but here are some possible solutions to our lack of shooting/scoring from the 2 Guard.

Vets
Wesley Matthews- Give Portland rights to pick plus Hendo?
Rudy Gay- Firesale in Toronto... i know you hate it, lets stay on topic fellas
Aaron Afflalo- May be the best bet for what we want.
Jodie Meeks- Would be a solid starter for us
Landry Fields- still shows flashes of what he was for NY
Evan Turner- Not really the great shooter, but he can score

Young guys

Tim Hardaway Jr. - still think he becomes a very good nba player
Terrence Ross- Raptors fire sale????
Jeremy Lamb- Do not speak of this name in posts that follow haha
Klay Thompson- God I wish
Brad Beal- Still gay for him lol

Jodie Meeks would be a solid starter for us? What?

I still want to do a Gordon swap with NO, and at this point, would throw in one of Hendo, Taylor, or the Portland pick

lol. Jodie Meeks being a solid starter on any team is hilarious.

I'd give T Ross a shot, but I don't think we have anything to offer.

Anything we would be willing to give up anyhow.

I'd swap Hendo for Fields or Matthews right now, easily. Fields is a little risky but at least he doesn't kill ball movement. Matthews would be great.

Hendo, Haywood (cuz they want a defensive C), and their pick back for Matthews, Leonard/Freeland.

Wow. Ben was even a better defender than Eric. No wonder a team with Eric Gordon on it has never made the playoffs.

Eric Gordon is one of those players that everyone thinks in great just because he can score

last season 12 of the top 13 defensive teams made the playoffs (Philly didn't) and 10 if the top 13 offensive teams made the playoffs and one of those teams that did had a losing record so its more like 9 of top 13, you win with defense not offense.

the last 10 NBA Champions all had at least a top 7 defense except the 2006 Miami Heat (17th) and those teams had an offense that was between 3rd and 19th in offensive efficiency, all their offensive ranks averaged out to 9th in offensive efficiency, so if you have above average offense and great defense you are a contender

Some potential Hendo moves.

Gerald Henderson+Ramon Sessions for OJ Mayo+Luke Ridnour

Talent wise it seems fair with Mayo>Henderson and Sessions>Ridnour, Sessions has a history in MKE and they need help at the point in the worst kind of way. Milwaukee should be rebuilding but probably aren't and see an opportunity to make it back to the playoffs.

Gerald Henderson+Al Jefferson+Jeffery Taylor for Ryan Anderson+Tyreke Evans+Austin Rivers

NO just needs a post option and they are one hell of a scary team, Evans hasn't been terrible for them but his first 2 games were average before playing well against us and he doesn't really fit with EG there.

It is kind of hard to gauge Jefferson's value but I imagine he holds more than Evans+Rivers combined, so Henderson for Anderson to level things out.

Gerald Henderson+Jeffery Taylor for Wilson Chandler

Henderson+prospect for Wilson Chandler would be a fair trade imo, Chandler isn't the best player but can play the 2/3/4 and would start at SG for us, he does a bit of everything and will help develop MKG's game in practice.

Trading Henderson would cost a pick and the return would likely not be an impact player. Henderson has negative value right now. He has a 3 year deal and he's not a starter...anywhere.

Why would trading Henderson cost a pick?

Henderson does not have negative trade value and I can think of at least half a dozen teams he would start for!

Any team that needs to start Henderson likely would rather keep the player that would solve our spacing issues. The guy is filler really. We are stuck with our spacing issue, or so we think (I don't).
