Thanks Fats for the list of "most in a game". It brought back some great memories, and a name that I have not had on my tounge in a long time....

Johnny Newman

Johnny was a pretty good player offensively, just not consistent...sort of a far lesser Glen Rice. I know we traded him and he never seemed to put up big numbers again.

Love that we have the history back where it belongs. Thanks New Orleans!
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

So glad we got to keep the history. Just made sense for us to keep it.

What about Bojangles' Hustle Stats? They have to come back, too.

I remember thinking that Eddie Robinson was going to be the next big thing, and was pissed when he signed that lucrative deal with the Bulls. He was out of the league a year or two later I believe.

E-ROBB!!! I was disappointed too when he sign there cause at that time they also already signed Brad Miller, whom we should've resigned. So glad we didn't cause he was out of the league pretty quick afterwards.

E-Rob was automatic while he was here. As soon as he pulled up for that baseline jumper, you knew it was going on. Sweetest looking jumpshot I've seen from a Charlotte NBA'er.

Rice and Dell Curry were certainly just as automatic, but Eddie Robinson's form and stroke were so smooth like a baby's bottom. Especially with his lanky characteristics. I remember watching it in person and being amazed and shedding a tear

e-rob was all mid-range. thing about his jumper was it was virtually unblockable. he shot that thing over his head and was already a 6-9 shooting guard.

knicks fan here, just a question. Why are the hornets colors blue instead of yellow and black? they seem like a more marketable color combination.

I heard that "hornets" was the nickname used for people of the charlotte area, but, ¿why the colors?

Purple and Teal were a popular late 80's early 90's color combo

The Original Charlotte Hornets uniforms were designed by renowned Chapel HIll, NC native, Alexander Julian. Teal and purple (as well as colorful pinstripes) were hallmarks of his line of clothes, "Colours by Alexander Julian," popular in the late eighties.

Julian agreed to design the jerseys for five-pound batches of pulled pork from Papa Doc's Pig Palace every month, or as he calls it "Carolina Caviar."
