And it blew my mind. I always get a little overwhelmed by space and how it relates to quantum/theoretical physics, especially regarding the future development of mankind, so I don't know what combination it is of it being late, me zoning out, or the length/subject matter, but I probably won't sleep much tonight.

Too busy thinking about how space can be bent and time can be a physical dimension

Interstellar was an amazing movie for 3/4 of the way....then it went completely off the rails its a damn shame too because i would have been completely ok with a sad ending. I think its call Hard Scifi

Who shot Gamby?

Spoiler:
After just finishing the episode my gut says Russell was involved. The way Russell was acting when he and Gamby began their flag pole conversation was very suspicious (although that could be a red herring). I got a very cold and dark vibe from the assailant that makes me feel like it was Russell's doing (even if he wasn't necessarily the trigger man). Also, it makes more sense for the plot going forward if Brown is out of the picture (the "walk of shame" scene hints at this) and the main conflict is between Gamby and Russell.

Spoiler:
I think Russell might be too big of a pussy to cap Gamby personally so I'm expecting the unexpected.

Anyone seen Shut Eye? Stars Jeffery Donovan from Burn Notice and Fargo season 2 as a fortune teller scammer working for gypsy crime org, gets a knock on the head and actually starts seeing visions into the future? Pretty entertaining.

OK, I took the leap and watched the pilot. I'm on the fence, but I'll give it another few episodes. Interested to see where they go from the pilot.

I am hopeful that one day we get an Americans spin off with a Trump storyline

Minor Spoilers

Spoiler:
Flash forward 25 years to the mid 2000s. Paige is now the #1 Russian spy in the US, long after her parents, Elizabeth and Philip, were murdered at the hands of their neighbor Stan Beamon. Paige has befriended Ivanka Trump whom she met in college. The two become close friends. Through Ivanka, Paige convinces Trump to come to Russia for a vacation, where he is showered (pun intended) with hookers and bribes. Flash forward another 10 years and Paige is at the center of a campaign to get Trump elected, using the blackmail photos from their trip to Russia as bait.

Just finished stranger things and loved it. Immediately hooked after the first few minutes of the show. Lately I been watching "alone" on the history channel. If you like camping and wilderness this show is for you. Impractical Jokers is still my all time favorite that show just puts me in a good mood

I finished OA last night. Thanks for suggesting the show. I have more questions than answers. I hope they do a season 2.

Spoiler:
I can see how people were pissed at the finale. And why the hell was one of the 8 episodes only 30 minutes? That made no sense.

I'm thinking about watching Sneaky Pete next. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about the show?

This Atlantic reviewer agrees, more questions than answers, but I agree with her reasons for liking the show. https://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2016/12/what-is-the-oa-actually-about/511145/
Coincidentally last month before watching OA I watched two early Brit Marling movies, Another Earth and I Origins, which plumb the same sci-fi metaphysical depths, multi-dimensional worlds & reincarnation.

I just finished The Night Of. I really liked the first 6 episodes, not too thrilled with the directions it veered after that.
Spoiler:
Hated it as soon as Chandra kissed Naz, and her as a drug mule? By episode 7 Naz was such a skank I wanted him convicted.

Have you watched Westworld? I was kinda meh on that and wondering what others think.

Re: Westworld. I love the production, scenery of the show. I love the idea of the show. However, I don't like shows/movies that are confusing just for the sake of being confusing. I'm hoping that in season 2 they will tell a more straight forward story and let the scenery, characters and concept carry the show, rather than relying on the mind-f*ckery they used in season 1.

Re: The Night Of

I liked it for the sole reason that it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Spoiler:
Agree, the part where Chandra kissed Naz was dumb. They could have told the same story w/out that plotline. Something else could have come up that forced her out of the trial. In the end, what we thought was a murder mystery, really was a show about prison and everything wrong with the judicial system.

Just binge watched the whole season 1 of Narcos in like 3 days. It tells the story of Pablo Escobar. Highly recommended. One of the best shows I have ever seen.

Just watched The Good The Bad and The Ugly for the first time in a long while. Daaaayum what a great movie. If you're a Tarantino fan and want to see the template for his movie-making, sit your self down and watch the great 1966 Sergio Leone spaghetti western.

I still have 4 episodes left in the original. I've been on hold for about a year. I really need to finish those in the next few weeks.

Oh, those season two storylines of Nadine's freakish strength and the Civil War reenactment must be enjoyable for you.

Yeah, it went totally off the rails in the middle of season 2, which made it hard to watch at times. But I am excited about the new season, so I need to finish.

The seriously acted weirdness was part of the charm for me. I still remember when the dude comes back to work early and they all start dancing bizarrely to celebrate.

Its been a few years since I watched but I thought it's finish was weirder than ever. Becomes a bit of a head ****
