Haven't we proven over the years that some of our worst players had the best measurables and athletic abilities? Like Bouknight destroys Kon in dunking, agility, quickness, speed, explosiveness, etc. The problem is his brain. Kon has the brain.

Little surprised he doesn't have him ranked way higher. He seems like the type of prospect Oglesby would over-value if anything.

I think sometimes we all get caught up in measurables, athletics, projections, etc. and forget to just watch how a player plays in a game on a team. It's not like Duke wasn't facing stiff competition and when Flagg was out, Kon carried. Maybe he can't throw down thunderous dunks but if he's more often in the right spots, right position and making the right play + can reliably shoot from basically anywhere... that's a player whose contribution leads to wins. It doesn't mean Tre or VJ wouldn't, they bring different skills that could help but Kon brings skills that are harder to find.

Nata being anti-Kon also makes me more of a believer too lol

Not many people have VJ at the bottom of that list.

All the trade up talk is for Ace and Fears.

Why would we take the kid nobody wants. It would be such a Hornets pick to screw this up and draft Kon.

Every draft has that prospect who gets overrated and Kon has been that guy for this draft.

I just don't think he will be able to finish around the rim or get inside much in the NBA. I really do think his best case scenario is Austin Reaves. Which is a fine player to have as a 3rd scorer with the right pieces around but is it someone you draft at 4 or would you just rather acquire Reaves in a trade and go a different direction for the pick.

well that's certainly a way to look at it

Russell Westbrook also destroys Kon physically and people call him dumb all the time. didn't seem to hold him back

since we're making random comparisons

Legit seen people say Ty Jerome is proof that Kon can work in the NBA.... the guy with 10 starts in 6 years in the league.

They don't really play alike at all. Kon is way more physical, Joe was way better as a pseudo point guard. If we are making comps to white former Jazz players, I see more Bojan Bogdanovic, but a better playmaker. I loved Bojan, but like you all, I am holding my breath Kon isn't our pick.

Not going to post much tonight so I don’t get attacked, but this was my guy and I like this pick. A lot.
