Got my keeper league draft tonight. The league is in it's 6th year - same dudes each year. We protect 13 players and release 4 at the end of each season.

I haven't done ANY prepartion for the draft at all. It's not going to be pretty!

Guess that means I am taking Williams!!

Works pretty well really because I could do with some more depth at the SF/PF position (although I really did want Kyrie!!)

Yuppers.

League has 10 guys in it, draft has 4 rounds. 1 pick per round per guy (unless you trade picks).

Sorry doc - we do it off line.

Draft is now over, pretty happy with my 4 picks.

Derrick Williams
Ben Gordon (who I think will explode now Rip is gone and will start)
Jarret Jack (see above but replace Rip with CP3)
Corey Maggette (see above and above but replace Rip and CP3 with Wallace and Jackson)

Could do with another big though. Would have liked that kid from Congo.......

And so is Fuenlabrada - where he will remain all next season costing you the title.

You mean Thabeet, right? Oh, wait that's the Aussie.

I just wanted to know who to tease with their rookie busts in March when it is all done. Expected a bit more rookies though. Jack is nice pickup. With Maggette I would be a bit nervous now when sporting an injury is trendy among Bobcats players (Ely's reason to avoid training is the best one so far).*

Congrats Fat on getting Bismack. Are you optimistic or have you just picked just in case?

* on unrelated note, Lolcats run a Blue vs White scrimmage (surprisingly 5 on 5) and ... well, see what Bonnell thinks:
It’s hardly a revelation this team will be challenged to score and Saturday didn’t make an argument to the contrary. It took five possessions between the two squads to score. There were a couple of shot-clock violations, which seemed absurd in an exhibition like this. Particularly so when coach Paul Silas is telling them to push the ball every possession possible.

i had biyombo ranked #2 on my draft board behind irving (next was tristan, kemba, williams, knight, jimmer, faried and vesely)... partly optimistic, partly homer in me, partly because i need blocks since my current bigs are: frye, bargnani, love, kaman, odom and dalembert. not much shotblocking from that group, but i own the 3s category.

Just 8 standard categories? Veselý looked good in loss against Phily and it is not out of question he could see good minutes or even start sooner than expected but I'm not convinced he is type of guy that would produce fantasy numbers. He seemed like almost the only one trying to play team ball out there, mainly guards were showing off and chucked shots. Flip Saunders was so angry after the game, I wonder what their lineup will be in next games. They seemed to be surprised somebody plays defense against him and they have to play in half-court settings and it look like they have no plays to run and improvise.

BTW Swedd and I were wondering whether there would be anyone interested in joining a keeper league, just an attempt whether we could find enough people to create one.

I guess fat, Slam, Walt are content with what they have (would be welcomed though) but maybe someone else?

(Disclaimer: No recent catala)
