@ZachLowe_NBA
This is true. CHA turned down a major haul for No. 9, BOS was going full throttle for Winslow, per sources.

Lowe doing what he does best: telling you about this great scoop he had AFTER the fact. #LoweBomb

I've gotta see proof of this, but if true..... WOW.

4 total first-round picks: 2 in 2015, and one of the other 2 was an unprotected Nets pick for Kaminsky. I don't know who we would've went with, but maybe Grant/Portis at 16 and Hunter at 28. That Nets pick though is the diamond.

It's totally possible financially to keep him.

According to sources, the Celtics' final offer to the Hornets was a package that could have featured as many as six draft picks, including four potential first-round selections (a combination of picks from this draft and in the future). But the Hornets could not be swayed and turned down multiple offers to select Wisconsin center Frank Kaminsky.

"Could have" is the kicker there. I'm sure it was probably 16, 28, plus a future pick.

If Frank doesn't become a multiple all star Cho will never get another GM job again.

16,28 and the nets pick would be worth it to me. And possibly another one. I think you take that.

MJ combined with this All Star game could be awful for this franchise in the long term. Only time will tell.

For the sake of this franchise, I hope not.

Hosting the All-Star game is great for the city of Charlotte but I think 2017 is too soon for this team.

I'd agree, but I don't think there's any way Boston offered 6 picks to move up 7 spots. Sounds more like Ainge trying to save face with the fanbase after unsuccessfully trying to move up.

Frank and the Hornets already in branding improvement mode. Good call on changing the booty short. Talk about unbelievably poor awareness to wear that to a signing.

CBS sports is reporting it could have been 6 picks with up to 4 first rounders. I don't know if I believe all that.

I buy that this is Ainge in PR mode because BOS had a pretty underwhelming draft. I'm ok with blasting the FO for passing on Winslow as BPA, but I don't think the BOS rumors are worth getting upset over.

I don't believe a word coming from the Celtics today. They are trying to save face. As pissed as everyone was about passing on Winslow, I think the reaction would have been the same had we drafted him then traded him for 16, 28 and a 2018 first. That's not a "Godfather" offer. Celtics also floated offers to the teams from 4 to 8 and they all passed as well. Don't think too much about this news. And **** the Celtics. I would not want to help them anyway.

Don't believe Ainge he is a bitter Betty and is just trying to save face and vent that no one took his poo poo platter of middling picks.

Kaminsky looks to.be a nice player, but I really think Jordan should have taken Winslow when he fell like that. You guys need perimeter defense, scoring and shooting and he has all of that. Heck drafting Winslow would have made trading for batum unnecessary and you could have kept the better pf prospect in vonleh.

I guess that's why it's a good idea to wait to make trades til after the draft. Hindsight is 20/20 though.
