Atlanta was supposed to pick (10th?) and vaulted up to #1.

That's Cooper Flagg next draft.

Brother most of us do, which is why the Salaun pick was a shot of reality, I thought we would try to win this season

No one we could have conceivably drafted, other than Sheppard maybe, would have helped us this season.

If we want immediate help it needs to come via trade or free agency.

I'm with you guys though, I'm beyond tired of losing.

Ahem. Castle?

The Sixers snatched up Kai Jones as a stretch big project on the cheap, so what do ya'll think of taking Mo Bamba off their hands? With his 3 ball he should be able to contest Nick for minutes. And he's looking at vet min. Just thinking Jalen Smith wants a bigger stage (plus a wad of cash) more similar to the one he was born into in Phoenix when they reached the finals.

He would give us a bigger body defender who can shoot at the 2, allowing Mann to come off the bench as a 6th man.

Toronto just drafted Jakobe Walter who is a natural replacement, along with them giving out a huge bag to Quickley

Trent soured on me a little last year as he started sacrificing his defense attempting to score more. Their coach asked him to become the defensive threat he was but it never worked

I'm on board with Trent Jr. His offers should serve to humble him into submission. Maybe he wakes up like Malik Beasley who joined Milwaukee for peanuts.

He's not high on any team priority list.

But he has great size, physicality, consistent shooting mechanics. Sure, maybe he's a bit of a malcontent who's lost value rapidly.

He would be a strategic buy-low. Those are hard to come by given these inflated prices.

ESPN capologist, Bobby Marks projects Gary Trent Jr. to earn 12 million.

So Hornets just have to pay above MLE maybe?

Bobby Marks reporting the Bulls are trying to trade Zach Lavine and are willing to attach a 1st Rd pick to do so.

If we lose Bridges I wouldn't mind Lavine if he comes with a future 1st.

I could see us getting aggressively into the KCP sweepstakes, fits the culture our FO is talking about.

The Nuggets are also engaged in trade scenarios for backup big man Zeke Nnaji, sources said. Denver had given the 23-year-old out of Arizona an opportunity to claim a clear-cut reserve role behind Nikola Jokić, but traded up in Wednesday’s NBA Draft to select a foreseeable replacement in Dayton center DaRon Holmes II. Nnaji’s $8 million salary could be an outgoing package, for example, to bring back Serbian point guard Vasilije Micić from Charlotte, who’s been a target for Denver, sources said.

(He had Heat engaged on Rozier before the deal).

Would be great for Micic. Not so great for us. Make a run at Achiuwa rather.

Denver fan on Reddit on Nnaji:

“Might be the worst player in the NBA. Absolutely useless in rebounding, finishing at the rim, passing or 3 pt shooting. How this dude is making $8 million is beyond me.”

I'm trying to understand why we would trade our backup PG and only experienced perimeter player for a guy who averaged 3/2 in his fourth year and is being replaced by a rookie.

Nnaji may be worse than Kai.

This signals a rebuild if we do it. Nnaji + draft compensation for Micic.

Kind of weird we didn't do this in the Reggie Jackson deal.

Would also be peak Hornets to get a solid, veteran backup PG and then trade him for scraps.

Trading Micic for a decent bench big isn't a terrible idea, but not Nnaji. We need someone that can actually play coming back.

We're not planning on competing next season. It's been widely reported that we're willing to take bad contracts for draft picks.

Nnaji is exactly that sort of trade target.

This probably signals we're keeping Jackson too.
