We already have a PG silly. :D

But could we see Jordan take a PG and DJ become the next Felton? Maybe not playing in Kentucky for one season will drop Kanter down enough for us to grab him.

Brandon Knight is looking good so far too, and considering past Calipari PG's, I wouldn't hesitate to draft him.

Currently I dont think we will get any of the top 5 picks, however players like Terrence Williams, CJ Leslie, and Derrick Williams are within our grasps

I've watched him play a couple of games now and to be honest, with all the hype surrounding him (CP3 V2 and all that) I really expected him to command my attention - but he hasn't yet.

Operative word there is "yet" - the season it still very young.

He was born and spent his first 18 months in Melbourne, so as a fellow Australian, you are obliged to claim him as a Aussie hero and to hype the crap out of him. Its the rules.

He's an Aussie? Really?

If that's the case.................

It's a great day for Australia and it's a great day for Charlotte, a great day for the world and it's a great day for the great man Kyrie Irving, the hero of the NCAA. I love him I want to boof him. Get him up here.

I've watched a couple of Harrison Barnes' games so far and I've watched a couple of Terrence Jones' games so far as well.

If I didn't know what the mocks were saying and someone asked me who I thought was the consensus #1 overall pick in the upcoming draft was, I'd hands down say Jones.

Jones has the better body (not that Barnes has a questionable body, Jones just looks stronger and has better shape to him), Jones seems to have a more rounded game, Jones is more animated, Jones seems to be more confident..............

Jones just looks like a much better player right now.

^ Agreed. I was watching KY vs. OK the other night thinking the exact same thing. Not that Barnes has been a huge disappointment (although he has struggled) but Jones has just been a man amoung boys. He reminds me alot of a mix of Jeff Green and Odom.

If he continues performing like he has, he could supplant Barnes as the top pick.

That's just it DM321 - it's not like Barnes has been awful, but there just hasn't been any "wow" factor when I've watched him. Every time I have watched Jones though, there has 100% been some "wow". I just really like the way he goes after it.

I do wonder if, like Green and Odom, if he is caught in that tweener type position. From what I've seen I think he should be a SF in the NBA more so than a PF.

I think the Odom comparison is a pretty good one - except Jones is Odom with animation. Odom with passion if you will which, when you think about it, could be outstanding.

How about something like: "Lamar Odom meets Hakim Warrick"?

Like I posted on the other page Jones played PG until his growth spurt. So, in many ways, he's probably like Clippers Odom but improved. LB would salivate over this guy, that's for sure.

My Top 5 Picks:

#1. Terrence Jones (he has been on his game)
#2. Jared Sullinger (Good Defense has been coupled by unexpectedly good offense)
#3. Harrison Barnes (hes bound to rebound)
#4. Derrick Williams (Scoring capability is teamed with rebounding skills and a past of guard play)
#5. Perry Jones (Hes starting to show his skills)

Guys to watch:

Elijah Johnson: Former ESPNU 150 recruit, was a ghost during his freshmen year, but recently scored 11 points in just 17 minutes.

Aaric Murray: This man is on a tear, and while he is nationally unknown, if he can somehow drive his team to beat Villinova then he could get the attention needed to make him a 1st round pick.

Barnes and Jones are two completely different players. I don't see the point in comparing the two other than the fact that Jones has lived up to expectations and Barnes hasn't

Top 5 picks on my "Big Board" not team wise, this would be insane if Charlotte could grab one of these guys, from what I hear Terrence should land with us tho...

We are comparing who looks like the #1 pick right now, not their skill sets and at the moment Jones looks like he should be the #1 overall pick in the next draft, not Barnes.

I should have developed my point further:

Many things play a part in how the player performs. Brandon Knight is much better than Larry Drew for one, so the distribution to Barnes isn't as good as it is for Jones. Also, since Barnes is a perimeter oriented player, it's harder to get looks/take over a game than it is for Jones (a post oriented player).

Also consider that Jones was under recruited out of high school so he's probably trying to prove a point while Barnes was billed as the savior of the blue blood Tar Heels so he's having to perform under intense pressure.

I'm not making excuses for Barnes, just saying that it's a bit early to determine who is the best choice for #1. I don't think Barnes will enter the draft after this year anyway

Tyler Honeycutt and UCLA are about to start their game Vs Villanova.

Joshua Smith for UCLA, a big burly C, is also worth noting.

Could be worth a watch if you are interested.
