I look at it this way.

If Dunlap does wonders, MJ is a genius (even though I'm sure Cho deserves most of the credit).

If Dunlap fails, people **** on the Bobcats anyway so it doesn't matter.

Just one PR disaster after another (even if he turns out to be a great coach). The only way to stop pouring tanker fuel on the fire is to change the name back to the Hornets, which seemingly not going to happen any time soon, if at all.

You can get a quick preview on what he is about on the below link for his coaching DVD.

http://www.eba-stats.com/index.php?opti ... &Itemid=87

Dunlap is also known as a master tactician. His practices are focused so much on footwork and fundamentals that his players would often go hour-long stretches without touching a ball.

Coach Dunlap offers thought-provoking ideas that will pique your curiosity, challenge your conventional thinking, and spark your intellect.

MKG seems like his type of player. Unfortunately, Kemba doesn't.

Look at his pictures. Dude looks like a total OG. Makes Kemba's swag look like Diop on ice skates.

I know they didn't have a great season but I'm assuming that's due to the Big East being stacked and Lavin having health problems. Probably the worst conference in the country for a rebuilding program to be in.

They also had a lot of guys banged up and playing hurt. Plus, like you said, the Big East was stacked and Lavin was out. But Harkless is going to be a really good pro and would love to have him if we get a second pick.

I'm a little shocked at the move as well, but I'm not pissed.

From the bits and pieces I've read he seems to be a good coach.

Like Fat's I'm now going to get behind him.
Actually no, I'm going to go the Stun route. Mike Dunlap is going to become the new Red Auerbach.

He coached the 36'ers. That should get him instant Aussie cred.

Way things are going we may just draft Jared Sullinger and his bad back with the 2nd pick.

Agreed

Auerbach wishes he had a point guard half as talented as Kemba Walker, and Bigs as good as Bismack Biyombo. As long as we can find away to hide DJ's Body things will be good.

I imagine Rosebuds/Little Silas will be on the staff. He'll probably contact one of his buddies from his DII days. We might bring in a former player. Wish Oakley didn't have his health concerns.

It's time for Matt Carroll to retire and become an assistant coach.

Well my teams have been going through new coaches like crazy the past 2 seasons (Mattingly, Gottfried and Philbin), so I will give him a chance. Its not like we will be playoff contenders for a while, so the worse that could happen would be us being back in the same spot we are now.

 Except the 36'ers are in Adelaide the Mass Murderer capital of Australia. The least popular capital city in Oz.
