If you plateau as a historical player then you are better than 95 percent of anyone who has better picked up a basketball.

Dwight Howard is easily still the best C in the game imo.

Really?

I think it's obvious that he is a considerably better offensive player today than when he came into the league. He has running hooks now, can use both hands now, uses the glass now. All things he never had when he came in.

A healthy Dwight is easily the best, most impactful big man in the league.

And I hate to say that because the guy is a massive douche

Howard gets by on being the biggest strongest most athletic guy in the room. This dude has still yet to develop a go to move or a counter move. Just because Howard is a good player doesn't mean he is getting better hell you could argue he is getting worse.

I think it's a great hire. I just hope no one lets Ewing, assuming he would, step on Clifford's toes.

This. I can't stand the guy, but even in a down year where he was a shell of his usual self, he was still the best center in the NBA.

Just asking , when we hired Ewing this hit my mind .
Our Portland pick ,, Pistons pick in 2014 and Biz for Cousins , Draft Bennett , and in MKG ,Hendo and Kemba
That just seems like a good core for Ewing to work with . I think he could do wonders for Cousins, Bennett and MKG, back court scoring seems to be in the upper part of the league . So im thinking all would fit well ,,, THOUGHTS

Not bad, but Sac seems to want the world for Cousins.

I would do this although I'd want to keep a Biz/Cousins combo up front. An easy solution would be drafting Noel, who I think will fall to us. Noel/Cousins/MKG/Hendo/Kemba + 2014 top 5-7 pick. That is a kickass lineup.

Exactly what I keep thinking . A perfect line up for Ewing and coaches to work with . Noel or Bennett both would work fine. But I think it would take Bis and both picks to get it done .

With that line up our oldest starter would be 26 lots of time to build chemristy.

  :sigh:  :eyebrows: Great Selection for Lead assistant. He will help current bigmen on roster and will be a big help for any bigmen drafted. As for Noel and Cousins playing together..Dream On my friend :-? I do think that with Ewing's selection there is a plan to bring in a big man free agent? Who :dontknow:
More and More I see us drafting Bennett at 4 or trading with Phoenix to pick 5( Bennett,Len, or Oladipo) and #30(Withey or Muscala) As for Biz,unless he grows 3", he will endup playing on someones roster in a Ben Wallace type role off the bench.

So explain again why he needs to be so much taller than Dwight. If the best center in the league is only 3/4" taller than him why is it so important he grow 3"? He also has a longer wingspan and greater standing reach. Bis is plenty tall enough he just needs to bulk up some more and he will be a good size for a center.

His numbers in 89-90 are mind boggling. Almost 29 pts, 11 rebs, 4 blocks, and over 2 assists per game.
