You'll be waiting a while. From the summer league, I see that he's got the willingness to take shots, but not the ability to make them consistently. My guess is he's still going to be left open a lot next season and there are going to be bricks.

Lots of bricks.

Don't hold your breath for a breakthrough this season. Till then, hope for more of this.

You're going to be waiting 2-3 years.

Mark Price offered Charlotte job

Former Georgia Tech star and NBA point guard Mark Price has been offered the UNC Charlotte job, sources close to the situation said.

Price, 51, is currently an assistant coach in the NBA with the Charlotte Hornets. He was a standout at Georgia Tech from 1982 to 1986, and he played 12 years in the NBA, where he was a four-time All-Star.

Sources told ESPN that Price has been offered a five-year deal and is mulling whether to accept it.

I wonder if he takes it. Obviously that's not a marquee job and I think he was hoping to someday land an NBA HC job. Cliff was plugging for him last offseason when the Cavs interviewed him for their head coaching job.

Don't we have another guy on the staff that does shooting camps and videos teaching the mechanics and stuff? I can't remember his name but I'll find it.

Adam Filippi. That's his name. He's our international scout or something. I think he's still on the staff.

Let's go offer Chip Engelland 10x times what the Spurs pay him.

I saw this on twitter earlier, PLEASE TAKE THE JOB PLEASE!!! I'd hate to see him out of the Hornets organization, but I'd rather have him here, and besides maybe MKG could come workout with Price in Halton occasionally.

Eh, he can do a lot better than UNCC. Arizona State and Alabama have openings.

Hope he stays at least one more seAson

I guess this comes down to whether he wants to ever be an NBA coach. If he takes the Charlotte job it seems like he'll be that much further from NBA consideration. It's unfair, but unless you're a Coach K/Calipari-type you're just not going to get much interest from NBA front offices. If Price wants to be an NBA HC he should stay, if he just wants to have some stability and control over a situation asap he should go to UNCC.

Personally, I hope he stays.
