I have faith in Frank making big strides in the offseason as well.

That being said I want to keep Marvin.

Even if MKG is out, the team is structured for Batum at SG and MKG at SF. Lee is more of a SG than a SF. Wouldn't it make more sense to get a SF in case of MKG injury?

You're getting too caught up in the position names. MKG, Batum, and Lee are all versatile enough to play either wing position- especially Batum. SF/SG can fluctuate depending on the opposing matchup. These days, I think any wing that's ~6'4+ and not a twig can play either position. They're interchangeable.

Don't know what you're talking about. Memphis are doing very well.

Yup and lance Stephenson doing good just scored 33 on new orleans

I mean, if you were a pros-pro veteran like CLee would you right now rather be playing in Cliff's system or for the team that's decided to let Lance Stephenson prove that no one in the league can guard him?

Now that Lee is settling into the offense, finding the space to shoot 60+% from 2 & 3 and being allowed to use his versatility, he looks like one happy guy. Did you see that smile he flashed last night while making back to back 3s in the fourth quarter vs HOU?

Lee has found his comfort zone and has identified his role in Cliff's offense the past 3 games. Great pickup by Cho considering the lack of assets we had to spare to take advantage of the tanking efforts of Memphis at the right time.

Lee is happy in Charlotte, looks like mostly everyone is. And Lee is becoming, if not already, Clifford's favorite. But to call Memphis a sinking ship is crazy. Unless you knew ahead of their latest bout of injuries.

The ship statement was based on Gasol's broken foot and the team turning to Lance Stephenson. Recent wins have mostly come against weak competition, Nets, Wolves, Lakers (twice), etc. They have one inspired win against CLE, but relied heavily on now-injured Conley, and have recently lost twice to PHX, possibly the worst team in the league. Furthermore, the Lee trade seemed like indication they're ready to retool. You hope they retain Conley, but even if they do, Vince Carter is 39, Matt Barnes 36, Tony Allen & Zach Randolph 34, Gasol 31 with a foot fracture, Chalmers 30 with a torn Achilles. These guys aren't just hurt they're breaking down because they're old. And it sounds like there is an ownership conflict brewing. If you're a MEM fan maybe you can enlighten me otherwise, but where CHA seems to be just getting started on an upswing, MEM looks like it's dropped anchor and is heading for Davy Jones' locker.

Their main problem is that ZBo is getting up there and Conley might leave.

It'd be interesting if they're tanking and what they would do in the offseason.

No Gasol, no Conley, no Zbo, no Wright. Cinderella sill be getting a rude awakening soon. Lee was lucky to escape that mess. Got to give the Dave Joerger props.

VIDEO: Extended interview with @Hornets guard @CourtneyLee2211. On getting traded, Charlotte's D, free agency http://yhoo.it/1q1XPgK

Good listen, nothing ground breaking but can definitely see him sticking around after this season. Free agency talk starts at 6:41 in the video, was asked what he was looking for / what are the requirements for a team that he'd want to sign with, and he said "Just a good all around group as far as coaching staff, management, and locker room, and Charlotte has all that right now. But other than that, just a good situation for myself to be able to go in and help a team win and compete for a championship."

Lee is in a similar situation as Lin in that he's played for a bunch of teams, 6 teams in 8 seasons. Lee is a little different in that he hasn't signed with new teams, he just keeps getting traded. Would be nice if we got Lee and Lin on board with setting down some roots in Charlotte.

Also interesting to note that apparently Lee has only missed 10 games total the past three seasons, he talked a bit about how he prides himself on taking care of his body and resting over the summer.

I have been so impressed with Lee. He's one of those guys that until he plays on your own team you probably just don't really appreciate his talent because he's not a fantasy guy, doesn't do anything flashy, has been bounced around quite a few teams etc..

He's done a great job limiting the impact of losing MKG.

I'd love to have him in the wing rotation next year along with MKG and Batum, he's a good fit between the two. But I'm not sure he'll be OK with a reserve role right now in the peak of his career and I'm not sure how much we can afford to pay our 3rd wing when we already committed 7 mil per for Lamb (4th wing) & 13 for MKG and 20+ for Batum. Assuming Lee is pushing 10 per, we'd be looking at 50 mil just in our wing rotation and we still have to either resign Lin or find another backup PG as well as figure out the long term plans for Cody.

ARGH, how the **** are we supposed to bring a team back next year that will be as good as the one this year when there is no chance we can sign all our key guys and most likely will have to settle on worse replacements across the board? (conversation for a different thread)

As a long time semi-Phillies fan, I have a bad habit of calling him Cliff Lee. Every time I read C. Lee in the box score, I read it as Cliff Lee.

But yeah, I'd like to see us find a way to keep him over Lamb. I think Lamb still has some potential to take the next step, problem is, we need someone to fill in when MKG inevitably misses time. Lee is much better suited for that than Lamb.

It would be nice if Batum followed this regimen.

Highly critical off season, really hope Nic would sign for less than max.

OTOH, if Lin leaves, can't Lee get some PT at the 1 spot with Nic and Lamb?
