^The play where Cody hit the 3 is a beautiful display of our ball movement.

Re: Hornets 2015-16 Season In Review
One extraordinary end of season recap is the one that Jeremy Lin did of his teammates at the end of the regular season when he made that reddit post.
https://www.reddit.com/r/CharlotteHornets/comments/4ey6k1/playoffs_here_we_come/
People have said how unusual it is for a player to go to the trouble of writing down praises for every one of his teammates like this. But I think what is even more impressive than the content of the post is the venue and context.
First, a bit of background. The Hornets subreddit is one of the smallest and most ignored Hornets communities of diehard Hornets fans (you'd have to be a true diehard to stick around for years in such a small community). Smaller than At The Hive, Hornets Planet, or this RealGM Hornets forum. The prior season, before the influx of fans that Lin brought to all Hornets venues, including the Hornets subreddit, the Hornets subreddit actually went consecutive games with no gamethreads. Their population number was exceedingly low.
Jeremy did not make his post in the general NBA subreddit, where there's tons of traffic and probably more Hornets fans there than in the Hornets subreddit. He would have gotten more bang for the buck and more publicity if he wanted it by going into r/NBA, but instead he went into r/charlottehornets, where the true Hornets diehards lingered. It was his gift to the reddit Hornets fans.
This was shortly following the huge reddit push on the viral video about him not getting flagrant foul calls. So it would seem to be partly his way of thanking the die-hard Hornets fans on reddit for their role in that. So he went into that small Hornets community to post his message, instead of going for the larger general NBA subreddit that would have given him more publicity.
Here's another interesting fact. Someone once asked why the Hornets subreddit didn't try to arrange player Q&A's or something. Some mod on the Hornets subreddit replied that they once had contact with the official Hornets organization. Someone from the official Hornets organization once contacted the mods and asked if they could take over control of the Hornets subreddit. I think the Hornets wanted to have better control of the message on social media and the like. But the redditors said that it was a community moderated site and belonged to the fans (just like the RealGM Hornets forum here), so they couldn't give over control and administration of the Hornets subreddit to the official Hornets press/PR/social media team for them to use or censor as they wished. Nevertheless, the redditor mods also said that they told the Hornets that they were in favor of a closer association and that perhaps they could arrange for Q&A's or other events with the team.
They met a blank wall. The Hornets PR/social media people who initiated contact with the mods on the Hornets subreddit never responded, or even acknowledged the emails. Since they couldn't take over ownership of the Hornets subreddit and use it themselves, they just ignored them and pretended the fans there didn't exist.
So Jeremy Lin went into the smallest of Hornets communities where only the most die-hard of Hornets fans remained, a community so small that they went consecutive games without gamethreads prior to Lin, a community of fans abandoned by the official Hornets organization because they wouldn't surrender ownership/admin control, to offer his gift to Hornets fans.
The end of season ode to his teammates was not just a thank you letter to his teammates, but a thank you gift to the die-hard Hornets fans. Even in the smallest die-hard Hornets fan communities abandoned by the official Hornets organization, Jeremy reached out to them. His way of thanking them for the reddit push on the viral video on flagrant fouls.

agreed, you really can not underestimate the intangibles Lin brought to the team... (rumors) some Lin fans reported Lin farted three times on the bench (yes, they heard it) in game 3 against Miami, since then the Hornets won three games in a row....
well, you'd wish lin farted four times

Hi Clutchie, I love you...
