I also remember Kemba getting frustrated saying we don't need more draft picks, he needed help now.
That would have been enough for MJ to pressure Cho to speed things up.

It all fell apart when the Jazz matched the offer for Hayward and the team had to pivot to Lance Stephenson. If that had not happened the trade for Batum would have never happened. So Cho conceivably would have been able to swing a big trade to add to Kemba and Hayward.

Just another reminder that we drafted Monk over Mitchell who just dropped 57

Giving up open cap space and allowing the GSW’s to get out of salary cap hell by taking Jason Richardson off their hands AND GIVNG THEM A TOP 10 PICK TO DO IT will still go down as one of the most bone headed moves any of our front offices have ever made IMO.

The GSW’s should have been giving us 1st round picks to help them out, not the other way around.

We gave them a get out of jail free card.

So dumb.

Since we are doing a pile on of bad front office moves I gotta mention one of the most irksome ones for me since I started following.

It might not be the most impactful of all the bad front office decisions, but trading a 1st round pick, that we were reportedly planning on using on Brogdon, for washed up Marco f'in Belenelli was such an annoying facepalm... Moves like that made it perfectly clear how delusional the front office was about where the franchise was at and what the plan moving forward needed to be.

Kemba with a nice game and playoff victory.

MKG getting 1st quarter minutes in the Mavs/Clips game and already hit two 3s.

I know 2020 has been the weirdest year ever, but MKG hitting two 3s in the first Q of a playoff game with passable shooting form has confirmed we are in The Twilight Zone...and what a slap in the face it is.

Agreed.

I really, really liked him coming out of Kansas but now just find him super punchable.

Having personality is great. Coming off as an asshat is not.

He is an asshat.

Wiretap saying the front office is going to look to trade cap space for assets. Good to hear imo.

Turned on the Bucks - Magic game after halftime. Orlando up 10 at the half. Milwaukee goes on a quick run to start the 3rd. Camera pans to Cliff ... and I just nod.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Looks like they pulled it off lol. I didn't watch the game, but the quick impression I got from reading twitter posts about it for like two minutes is that the Bucks have been terrible at 3pt defense all season and all the injuries Orlando has forced Clifford to just play all his shooters and they accidentally stumbled into a winning game plan. That might not be what actually happened, but it sounds about right based on our experience with Clifford here lol.

Bucks haven't looked right since the bubble began. They'll get by Orlando, but if they don't get it together they'll get smoked next round.

Hope this doesn’t turn out like 2007.....

Harry Giles was pretty good whenever he got minutes this season. Divac was a moron to not pick up his rookie option. Bigs that can pass and defend are hard to find. Mitch's first phone call when free agency begins should be to Giles' agent.

As valid of a point as you've made you can pretty much go to any Hornets draft and find a better player we could've drafted. Really the only drafts I felt we got stuff right on were the Emeka Okafor draft and the Kemba Walker draft (hopefully PJ Washington joins that list). Basically we've **** it every other time.

If you draft 10 Malik Monk type prospects and 10 Donovan Mitchell type prospects, I'd say 7/10 times the Malik Monk type prospects end up better.

It just didn't work out for us that year

'Technically', SGA was a hornets pick. Considering what Bridges is worth, this one is the most painful i guess.

The main issue is that Hornets don't tank enough to land top lottery pick (top 3) unlike many other teams

I was a Bridges guy, and yeah, at this point it's impossible to argue.
