I think this draft is very thin especially compared to this years draft which still has me hung over haha.
I think there will be something interesting in this draft that although I feel it's a very weak one I feel that
there will be players will be great options that will fall to us. It's not deep at piclk 45 and up but within
the first 40 or so we should have some great options.

These are players that I think should be available if we were picking at around 15 for pick 1 and pick 40 for pick 2.

PICK 1 -
James Bouknight, Ayo Dosunmu, Jared Butler, Azuolas Tubelis

PICK 2 -
Aaron Wiggins, Isaac Likekele, Both Gache, Tre Mann, Arturs Zagars, Amar Sylla, Chris Smith

There could be others that have good seasons. There also could be some of these guys that return to school.

I would say give you 11 days you will have a whole list of prospects that will be better than Ja Morant and Jayson Tatum. I have faith in you that you will have us thinking Aljami Durham is the best guard in the draft haha

I think James Bouknight could be a nice backcourt of the future with LaMelo. We can bring him along slowly behind Hayward.

Aaron Wiggins would make a good 2nd round pick.

The last guy is Jared Butler who I don't know what to think of. I say that because his game is deceptive imo but you can see something there.

I like Scotty Pippen JR's game. If he's there 2nd round he's an option

At this rate UNCNY is going to have full scouting profiles of JuCo backups ready by the time the next draft rolls around.

2022 is definitely shaping up to potentially be one of if not the best drafts ever. However, 2021 is not weak at all. Remember when OKC drafted their stars in like 3 straight drafts? Yeah they are getting ready to do that all over again. I hate watching this franchise lose, but we needed top 5 picks in 2021 and 2022. A top 5 pick in 2021 and 2022 to go with Ball, Washington, and Graham would have put this organization in places it has never been, and us fans dream of.

I still hope we can land Jonathan Kuminga. The dudes whose names start with either K or L (last or first) run the league.

Luka Doncic
Kawhi Leonard
Lebron James
Kevin Durant
Kyrie Irving
Kemba Walker
Kris Middleton
Kyle Lowry
Karl Towns
Kristaps Porzingis
Damian Lillard
Klay Thompson
Kevin Love
Kelly Oubre
LaMarcus Aldridge

We got our L with LaMelo, we need a new K to replace Kemba.

Looks like all the top recruits in this class all played together in highschool

2. Cade Cunningham, 5. Scottie Barnes, 12. Day'Ron Sharpe all played Montverde in Fl

7. BJ Boston, 8. Zaire Williams played at Sierra Canyon with Bronny James and Zaire Wade too

Will be interesting to see the effect Cunningham has on an Oklahoma State team that went 12-20 last year, shades of Anthony Edwards going to Georgia all over again. They play their first game tomorrow against UT Arlington haha.

For real though he has games against Marquette and Wichita State before the conference play begins.

I would say him having the letter "J" starting his other name bodes well too.

Nikola Jokic
Ja Morant

Keon Johnson too, I'm feeling good about us getting a good player regardless of where we draft next year.

I like these two guys games for similar reasons. They are both 6'9 and can kinda sorta play 3 positions.
I think they would be good for the 2nd round. Nothing flashy about either but good insurance players.

Derrick Alston Jr. - Needs to bulk up. Can create his shot, good passer and shooter and runs the floor well

Chris Smith - Similar to Alston just bigger lol

I will take a break from ranking players. This is pretty much the whole projected draft so duh lol. So many guys I am a fan of in this draft. It's not a weak draft at all, but its also not a super deep one, but it is deep at the same time. It's deep but deep with players that wont hardly become stars. The players in the top 20 have quite a bit of star power tho. There are some hidden gems like

SLEEPERS -
PG - Likekele, David Johsnon
SG - Both Gache
SF - Aaron Wiggins
PF - Azuolas Tubelis
C - Ike Obiagu

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PG -
Cade Cunningham, Isaac Likekele, David Johnson, James Akinjo, Jaden Shackelford,
Arturs Zagars, Scotty Pippen JR, Augustas Marciulionis, Remi Martin, Will Richardson,
Marcus Zegarowski

SG -
Jalen Green, DJ Boston, James Bouknight, Ayo Dosunmu, Both Gache, Moses Moody
Jared Butler, Tre Mann, Keyontae Johnson, Nah'Shon Bones Hyland, Lester Quionones,
Harlond Beverly, Scottie Lewis, Macio Teague, Aaron Henry, Miles McBride,
John Petty, Geo Baker, Rudy Demahis-Bellou, Paul Scruggs, Ochai Agbaji,
A.J. Lawson, Len Schoormann, Nahziah Carter, Justin Turner, Juhann Begarin

SF -
Jalen Johnson, Jonathan Kuminga, Ziaire Williams, Aaron Wiggins, Derrick Alston Jr.,
Toumani Camara, Isaiah Livers, Abramo Canka, Emmitt Mathews Jr., Ron Harper JR,
Malcolm Cazalon, Romeo Weams, Luc Van Slooten, Obadiah Noel, Sasha Grant,
Kriss Helmanis, Hector Alderete, Roko Prkacin, Adria Domenech, Pete Nance

PF -
Scottie Barnes, Azuolas Tubelis, Amar Sylla, Usman Garuba, Trendon Watford,
Chris Smith, Makur Maker, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Alperen Sengün, Khalifa Diop

C -Evan Mobley, Oumar Ballo, Neemias Queta, Ibou Dianko Badji, Kai Sotto, Ike Obiagu

I really want Jalen Johnson or Scottie Barnes. Barnes has more potential because of his competitiveness and athleticism that he can turn into a superstar player but Johnson is more crafty and can score. Thankfully this draft is very deep in the lottery so if we miss the playoffs there's a good chance we can get one of the top players. It will take a lottery miracle to get Green now though.

This draft is deep in the first round that if we were to make the playoffs we can still end up with a draft of

PICK 1 -
James Bouknight, Ayo Dosunmu

as our pick after making the playoffs. Not bad at all. I saw a few Uconn games last year and bouknight kinda reminds me of Brandon Roy.

I just realized Cade Cunningham plays at 4 today on ESPN. But here is the interesting thing. So does Isaac Likekele who is on the same team as Cade. I have Likekele as my super sleeper. Even tho I been a fan of a few of the guys in this draft for a while (Cade being the most) I am not sold on him for some reason. I wouldn't be surprised if Someone like Likekele turned out to be just as good as Cade. Not saying it's gonna happen because Cade has all the potential in the world but I really like Likekele and he might be a steal.
