Next years top 3 is looking like Dybansta, Peterson, and Boozer. A stronger top 3 then this year's as the 2nd and 3rd players are better prospects then Harper or Bailey.

It would be a bold move, but I like the idea of a bigger/smarter PG in Demin.

We would definitely have to get back a scorer tho for LaMelo.

Egor isn't really bigger than LaMelo though is the issue. He is maybe an inch taller but still just as weak physically without the lack of elite quickness LaMelo has.

He was measured at 6'9 without shoes.

Melo is 6'6 without shoes.

Egor is 6' 8.25'' without shoes, with a 6'10.25 wingspan.
LaMelo is listed at 6-7 with 6-10 wingspan.

So yeah Egor might be 1-2 inches taller but he is much slower than LaMelo and Egor only had 32 inch Vert along with a slow 3/4 sprint. His tape shows a high IQ player, but his lack of burst and physicality I think he is much more a super role player than future cornerstone.

I 100% convinced the if Edgecombe is there at 4 it MUST be him. The athletic ability, defense, good passing and rebounding, improving shooter, poa defender with the measurements to back it up. In the interview at the combine he spoke on his ability to score more. He has all the makings of being that perfect if he pans out connector piece sg we have needed forever. Since the dawn of time basically or atleast the past 20 plus years. Balls to the wall I freaking want VJ Edgecombe to be a freaking hornet so damn bad.

Is Rasheer Fleming an Elite Defensive NBA Draft Prospect?

Oh well I’d hoped Condon would be available as our second round pick but there should be at least one quality big there.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

A lot of guys are just difficult to find comparisons for and I don't like forcing comps on guys just to have one. One I do like for this class is I think Kon is kind of like a better passing Bojan Bogdanovic.

kons upside comp for me is like a better passing, but slightly less athletic bane. similar bodies, thick/strong, great shooters.

still unsure of my fave upside comps for the other 3.

There’s been plenty of chatter that the league may not be as high on Ace as draft content creators are.

Those are good points. As much as some here think NBA teams only look at BPA, that’s not accurate. Yes, the more established a team is, fit and role are very important. Hornets have been dog poop for so long we’re always looking for BPA, but as long as the current “core” is being retained, FIT is also an important factor for CLT. Ace could be more problematic here given his approach to offense, shooting, etc.

O’Connor having Coward ranked 5th is nuts. Would I have taken him 6th last year? Hell yes! But not in this draft. Swinging for an unproven upside hit on Coward earlier than very late lottery is a huge reach. Givony (I believe) incorporates NBA people feedback into his calculations on positioning.

I see Rashard Fleming being mocked anywhere from late lottery to very late first round. Still hope we can package our 2 seconds, maybe with a player like Josh Green or NSJ, to get a pick in the 16 to 26 range. Need a quality big to go with whomever we grab at 4.

A number of people are now mocking Danny Wolf to fall into the second round. Concerns mounting on his ability to do things at an NBA level.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.
