Good win by our lads the other night.. Tim Cahill is really starting to find the back of the net on a regular basis. Just need to win away to make sure we make the Asian Cup Tournament.

Maybe we need to push both Federations and organise a friendly between Australia and the US.

Anybody watch the U20 World Cup Finals this afternoon? Not the best game, but it went to penalties, which were about as intense as any I've seen.

way down - has us and australia played a friendly in recent memory? cahill is a beast. he would own us.

crap day for chelsea. great day for the rest of the league. lampard is invisble in this new formation.

Not that I could find Fats. The youth teams and the womens teams seem to hook up quite often.

We need to find another keeper. Whilst Schwarzer is one of the better keeper getting around, he is 37 and his backup, Covic is 34. I'd like to see them invest some time in Adam Federici who is playing for Reading in the English Championship league. He's only 24.

Our defence is getting a little old as well. Neill is 31, Moore 33 and Chipperfield is 33. Wilkshire is getting there at 28. We need to find a place for Bresciano

I really like our midfield, Cahill, Kewell, Emerton, Culina with Jedinak and Valeri coming on.

We need a dominate striker. With the Duke retiring from internationals game, we only have big Kennedy. Need to find a place for Bruce Djite (who we stole from you guys).

EDIT: Liverpool went down 1 - zip to Sunderland. Whilst I'm dirty about the result, it's good to see the mid ranked teams starting to push the Big 4. We did get butt raped by Bent's goal. The freaking ball deflected of a damn beach ball and past Pepe and landed in the back of the net. Our dumba$$ supporters threw the beachball, it was covered in the Liverpool crest.

Liverpool are hurting with injuries (and no Xavi) with Gerrard and Torres out. Ngog and Mascherano
need to play more.

I hope our more physical supporters get hold of the little ****er that threw the beach ball onto the field. Pepe had it covered until the deflection.

Perhaps its because I was raised on Basketball and Football and only came to soccer later in life but I never understood why they they keep playing when there is crap on the pitch. I can't imagine somebody throwing a popcorn box on the court and Lebron just jumps over it and keeps playing, I've seen Games in Argentina/Brazil with ridiculous amounts of Streamers strewn all over the field.

You need to see a game of day/night cricket here in Australia... Rubbish everywhere over the field...

btw, saw that video again on the news this morning and they had another video that showed a maybe 14-17 year old boy in the front row throw the balloon onto the pitch while standing right next to a steward. He had a generic addidas sweater on, so no idea who he supports. He clearly was trying to put it on to the pitch, not accidental at all.

yeah, can you imagine how fast you would get tossed for throwing a beach ball on the court at a bobcats game? i've never understood that either. the players just keep playing around the balloons as if they arent there.

i still havent seen the highlights. i'm sure they will show it tonight on fox football fone in. i love that show. temerys lane or whatever her name is... she is smoking hot. and wynalda is a riot. he's so bitter. i love it.

Apparently the beachball was covered in the Liverpool crest, and given the fact that there were no deaths recorded I can only image it was a Liverpool supporter. The game was at Anfield and if it was a Sunderland supporter they wouldn't of walked out alive.

tough game for liverpool today. lyon is no joke. go lyon. :)

i cant wait to watch bayern again on wednesday. i never get to see them play, but they are my second fav team. i still dont understand how they dont score more goals. offensively they should be right up there with barcelona and real madrid.

klose, gomez, toni, ribbery, robben, schweinsteiger, muller and lahm. thats some really nice attacking options.

ribbery on the left with robben on the right... thats lethal. two of most dangerous wingers in europe on the same field.

Ribbery, Robben (both injured) and Gomez won't play today. And the reason why Bayern sucks offensively, is their coach, Louis van Gaal. He has no concept and keeps rotating the lineup, which irritates and annoys their forwards. Especially Gomez, who came for 30 million euros during the offseason, and still haven't made a goal.

Not even close. Ibra and Messi are two of the top 5 strikers in the world. Henry is as solid as they come, and Bojan and Pedrito are going to be great in a couple of years. Then you look at Iniesta, Xavi, and Keita and it really isn't fair.

Then we have the rumors of working out a deal with Ribinho along with Cesc? Again... it really isn't fair

not saying they are more talented than barca... just saying on paper they are one of the top 3 most talented offensive teams... but for whatever reason (coaching?) they cant seem to put it together.

robben injured again... not shocking. thats his problem. when healthy he is one of the most dangersous wings in the world, but he cant stay healthy.

and i agree, its not fair... haha. barca is ridiculous. i really hope robinho stays in PL.

Great win by the boys over Man U........ 2 - 0.

Fingers crossed this will get our season going. Forget Europe and let's concentrate on the Premiership...

I've read in the news that the little punk that chucked that beach ball on the field is too scared to exit his house as he's received a number of death threats.
