And the occasional defense would be nice as well...

He really does seem to be totally an utterly unfazed by those big time shots. He reminds me of OJ Mayo that way. His straight away 3 seems to be a pretty reliable shot for him.

Hate on him all you want. But after a rocky first ten games, this kid has been fantastic.

There is no doubt he is playing better these past 4 games - of course, he couldn't have played much worse than he was before those!!

I wouldn't be so sure barnes is going to declare himself for the draft before graduating

Jimmer is a much better version of Morrison. And if after pick #15, he would be a very solid pick.

If Jimmer was 6'5'' or taller, then he'd have a shot.

Ask Kyle Singler if Barnes can play defense.

Barnes in ACC play (18 games) compared to T. Jones in conference play (18 games):

17.4 ppg......................15.9 ppg
5.7 rpg........................8.8 rpg
1.1 apg........................1.6 apg
1.9 tpg........................2.3 tpg
0.5 spg........................1.1 spg
0.4 bpg........................1.8 bpg
45% fg..........................42% fg
37% 3p.........................28% 3p
79% ft..........................69% ft

The guy on the left looks better to meeeeeee

Singler has sturggled all year whether against Barnes or not. He, like Barnes, needs a PG. With Kyrie he played well, without he didn't. WIthout Marshall, Barnes also played poorly. It's all in the PG.

It's likely you will need a lor more than to just not make the playoffs to get Barnes. I think he will be a top 5 pick, which means we would not only have to loose out but we would also need a great deal of luck. I'll take my chances witht he playoffs...

The only way we get a top 5-8 pick is by trading our 2 picks to move up. It's too late for us to get a top 8 pick.

Harrison Barnes just went up the draft board after yesterday's performance. He has to be going in the top 5 now.

I know this team already has a PG in Augustin but Kemba Walker has that IT factor in a point guard teams want. He commands the ball during crunch time and seems to always deliver. His team looks to rally around him during those time too. He could very likely be someone taken in the mid-1st round.

If we end up picking anywhere from #8 - #12, then we do have a shot at Kemba Walker. Just not sure if they will try to go with a big with the first pick. Seems to be the more pressing need.

I like Dee Bost more than I like Kemba Walker - and Bost could be had much later in the draft.

I want us to tank soo bad and trade up as high as possible on draft night, in order to draft Harrison Barnes. Augustin/Henderson/Barnes would be a fantastic core

What would be his role on this team? Our two biggest needs at SF and C. He fills niether. He is a combo type guard that may never have a position. He plays like a SG but is too small to be a SG in the NBA. He has the body of a PG but is he really PG material in the NBA? It's the same thing with Jimmer. Both can score in buckets, but both don't really have a position to play in the NBA. Kemba at SG would get absolutely torn apart on the NBA level because he is just not big enough to guard those guys. I mean it would essentially be like putting Dj at SG. They are both very similar in stature. So now you say, okay so he is a PG. Well we have our future PG with DJ and have an effective back-up signed to a contract in Liv. So where does Kimba fit? IMO we cannot afford to throw away our top pick and draft someone that fills a position that isn't a need. There are going to be solid SF's on the board when we draft. We need to grab one of them. I love Kemba Walker, but we just don't have a place for him. Jimmer either.

I'm with ya Fred. Maybe David Stern will do MJ a solid and get us a high pick.

I remember watching Barnes dad, Ronnie Harris at Iowa State. I wonder if that's why his name is Harrison? Harris Son. Anyway Harris also wore #40. Funny though, he picked #40 for Fred Hoiberg, who went to his high school in Ames. His dad could ball though. Nothing like Barnes though.

In order to trade up up, you would probably have to package Tyrus, the picks and some more assets. but I wouldn't mind, because I still don't see Tyrus as a legit starter and don't think he will ever be.

Who's doing brackets this year?

http://games.espn.go.com/tcmen/en/entry ... CMEN_PAGE1

I've got UNC vs. UCONN and Kansas vs. Michigan State in my Final Four. UCONN beats Kansas as my prediction.

Edit: Actually, seems you can view my entire bracket.

http://games.espn.go.com/tcmen/en/entry?entryID=1129891

Laugh it up.

I think today revealed pretty well what UNC's fortunes will be in the tourney. We'll beat our first two opponents, but from there it's going to be a question of whether we can do anything from range. If we're nailing 3s, we can beat anyone in the country. When they clank, we can be beaten by a team that plays good interior D and can score from the guard spots.

Ohio State is a nightmare matchup, I don't see any way we beat them.
