Taylors already 25. Seems like we just drafted him yesterday.

man I miss him.
Imagine him doing that more often with Big Al in the high post. It would take the Alfense to the next level.

Re: The Jeffery "Mother Viking" Taylor Thread
any chance of him coming back with any semblance of his athleticism after the injury? surprisingly enough he was a pretty poor defender numbers wise before he got injured. I cant really see what CDR and tolliver cant provide over JT at this point.

the drop in his defense from his rookie year to his sophomore year seems unexplainable and is very weird. did he get a bit full of himself after scoring 20ppg during the summer for Sweden and lose his focus on the other end? if he did, why was he then self-questioning himself every second step on offense? or, perhaps, simply playing for that unorganized Sweden team where he could throw up a shot any time he wanted and gamble on D installed some bad habits?
it was a confusingly bad season by him.

I think if his injury limits him that he will never hit the floor as a Hornet.

Hes going to be a very good role player for us. Still have some faith in him. Hard to believe hes already 25 though.

Jeff Taylor is tomahawking, so I'd say the Achilles is OK.

Out
Taylor (Achilles) is still on tract with his rehab process and coach Steve Clifford expects him to practice with the Summer League team, but not actually play in the offseason competition, the Charlotte Observer reports.

If not waived by tomorrow, JT's $915k contact becomes fully guaranteed for the year.

I'd recommend to waive him, but to be classy about it, give him every opportunity to stick on the roster, from a summer league to a training camp invite. Maybe him & his agent might think they could find greener pastures elsewhere. For instance, he could try out for the Sixers, and he'll probably get a roster spot and maybe even some consistent playing time to earn his right in the NBA
