Memphis should have valued a frp above everything if they want to rebuild around Jaren Jackson Jr. I'm guessing we refused to give one up or the protections were crazy like 22-30 for 2019, else we send you a 2nd.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

They won't be beating us by 45 after this season ends and Kawhi walks.

If Kemba walks...yeah they will.

..no they won’t. Hopefully we won’t rue the day where we could’ve kept Kemba had we just traded Frank for a second.

We could’ve at least traded for Markelle Fultz. Like damn we did nothing lol.

 that would’ve solved everything! Personally I’d have given up a first and MKG for Lin.

The Kawhi-less Raptors could beat us right now by 40 with Kemba depending on the night.

Could’ve gotten Fultz for the low and had some lingering optimism that he could return to form into the player he was projected to be. It’s not like the Magic gave up anything substantial. Bacon might’ve been better for the Sixers than Simmons.

Simmons averaging 6 points on 36% shooting this season.

We are going to lose by 100 to the Raptors. Maybe 1000.

Why didn’t we trade Kaminsky for Fultz? Prolly could’ve gotten some 2nd rounders out of the Sixers with it too.

So you agree there was moves we could’ve, probably should’ve done.

There were moves we could’ve made. But most would’ve seen us taking an L.

I definitely get the feeling that Kupchak has no plan other than to acquire 2nd round picks because hes had success with those in the past. He hasn't done anything noteworthy with the roster, but at least hired a decent coach, I guess.

We may have went from not valuing 2nd round picks at all to overvaluing them because our new GM thinks he can strike gold. We would have been in a much better position if we just kept Howard on the books.

As much hate as Cho has been getting, he was genius at getting the small cheap offers.
Like markief Morris who was pretty given away.

that Mirotic trade is a stunner; we should have offered Frank and some beef jerky

I did not want to give up Monk or Bridges in the Gasol deal so I’m OK with that. I’m more ticked that we weren’t involved enough on other options to get some deal done to help us. Clearly our players are viewed far less favorably by the league than some of us see them. In a results driven business, Mitch failed his first big test.

Tell me why Kemba will stay if he gets an offer from the Lakers, Knicks (if KD joins them) or another glamor team with stars who can contend? Would you? Yes he can make more money here, but at this point he wants to compete for deep playoff runs and a title. The All-Star weekend will be the beginning of the plotting by players to set the table. If we fade out and miss the playoffs......
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Cho deserves all the criticism he gets because it’s his fault we’re in this situation but I will credit him that he would’ve at least turned Frank or Willy into a solid fringe starter at a position of need.

Will there be a point time that you won't do these strawmen takes? I feel like you have intentionally missed the point a bunch in this thread, and I don't get why.

We couldn’t even trade a 25 year old 7fter that can make 3s on an expiring that has averaged double figures the last 2 seasons for something.

I’ve been running around all day and we didn’t do anything? Teams were just giving players away to avoid the luxury tax.

I do like Jonas fit next to JJJ. Plus they got Delon too. Still Biz and MKG or Cody wouldn’t led thd tank for them plus they get a 1st.
