When Miles gets back it'll be a little weird trying to figure out the Hayward/Miles dynamic but they'll both see heavy minutes as long as they're healthy and Rozier will get the bulk at SG.

Only way Miller (or Scoot, had he been the pick) gets any meaningful PT is if at least one of Rozier or Hayward gets traded.

I don't think it really matters if Rozier starts. He is going to play 28-32 mpg as a combo guard. I still have him playing more mins than Martin. Just think Terry will get more shots with second unit of PJ, Hayward, Richards then just trying to slam enough shots together for Ball, Terry, Miller and Miles...

I also think a lot of you are acting like we just ho hummed picked 9th or 11th again and this is Monk, Bouknight or Frank and coming off the bench should be expected. Kupcheck is talking about Miller as a multiple time all-star and went 2nd in a draft where that would be #1 any other year. I will be shocked if he doesn't start almost every game he plays in.

I think gunning for playoffs with vets is the correct call.

Not saying bench them entirely.
Why does it matter if they start? If Terry is playing 28 mins and Hayward 18-20 mins that is probably all they should be getting.

Trying to play Hayward any more than that is just asking for 40 games missed.

If we fully gun for the playoffs with our current roster, it will likely end in another playin loss.

Not worth the tradeoff of missing out on giving our 2 pick proper time to develop
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

Our best chance at a leader is overpaying Draymond Green. That won't happen in reality.

He'd end up knocking Bouknight out 2 hours into the first practice.

Sounds good to me, if we had someone like that two years ago it would have done him a lot of good.

The draft is shaping up to be horrible next year. Who even is a possible #1 overall pick?

Don't think wemby is participating

Edit: looks like he's about faced and will. Should be fun

Yeah our first is still lottery protected next year, but I am not lying when I say I think we got as talented a player at #27 last night as we could get 10-14 next year. I really hope we make a serious playoff push next year. If we get better injury luck and Miller contributes as a rookie I don’t think a 7-8 seed is totally unreasonable to hope for. Some years if the draft looks good in this situation I’d rather just miss the playoffs and keep the pick, but I don’t think I’ll have these same worries next year.

In a dream world we’re able to offload Terry and/or Gordon before or during the season and still compete for the playoffs playing more of the youth. Should be possible if Miles is brought back

Will be interesting to see what Portland does with Dame and Scoot.
If Scoot is starting somewhere, would be shocked if our organization will not be motivated to start Miller too.

They already are in a mess with Dame-Scoot-Simons-Sharpe..
meanwhile the only forwards they have on their team are Little, Knox, Watford and Kris Murray.
Meanwhile Jerami Grant is asking for 5/150

JustBuzzin wrote:Speaking of leadership what do you guys think about hiring JJ Reddick as our HC?

He already admitted he likes our roster. I think he might be the next great potential HC. He's already familiar with NC given his Duke days.
I for one would be happy in a world where jj Reddick is our coach.

I'm almost as excited to shake up the veteran core of Rozier/Hayward as I was the draft. I hope Mitch wasn't BSing us with his comments about needing better veteran leadership.

thats some fingers pointing right at terry, gordon and melo

He's saying the quiet part out loud but what was going on with Mitch during that presser? Was he drunk or did something inside break when he went on twitter and saw the boobirds come out for the Miller pick?

Paul George available any chance we can get him in a trade?

Have him mentor Brandon Miller and he can be our vet leader.

Naz Reid just signed for 3yr/$42million. Not knocking the deal, he's a solid player and the cap is going up all the time, but in retrospect it sure looks like Mitch got an incredible discount with Nick's 3yr/$15million extension.

I hope we can somehow hammer out a similarly advantageous arrangement with PJ and especially Miles (your name is mud, son, don't be playing hardball).
