If we are going to continue to start MKG and Henderson, we really can't afford to have meager points from the starting PF spot as well. If he plays all season like hes playing right now in the playoffs, then his spot is awesomely secure.

Then he needs to make his release quicker, because he takes about two hours to get his feet set and shoot. It's why Tolliver is so tough to defend when he's in a zone. He shoots so damn quick.

4 years, 14 million? average of 3.5
3 years, 12 million? average of 4
2 years, 9 million? average of 4.5

fair offers or wishful thinking?

3 years 12 million would be excellent.

Let's hear thoughts on McRoberts' role long term with this team. Is he our starting PF for the next few years? Can we get to where we want to be with him playing the majority of the minutes at the 4?

I think the answer is yes, but curious to hear other's thoughts.

I think he is our starter next year, maybe next two years. After that it is Zellers job unless he doesn't progress at all. I don't think McRoberts has maxed out his ability yet, at all. He has added a 3 point shot in what seems like overnight and has fantastic ball handling for a big man. Other than Noah he was the best passing big man in the league this season. You absolutely cannot let another team sign him, and he doesn't want to go to another team. He is our number one priority. Zeller can learn underneath him like Biyombo is underneath Al for another year or two, or three.

I think McRoberts should be the starting PF for the next 2-3 years unless Charlotte keep the Detroit 1st rounder for the 2015 draft and end up selecting one of the many high profile big men prospects in the lottery with it

I mean I partially think how we draft depends on whether we feel like McBob is the answer. We'd have to decide if we want to target a big or a guard.

McBob isn't the long term starter at PF, might be starter 1 more year assuming he stays

The way Al talks about him and the way Kemba talks about him I think hes extremely valuable. Either way as a starter or backup he deserves good minutes.

He'll be the weakest player in any decent starting lineup, or he'll be the second best player off the bench for a great lineup.

Hope we bring back McRoberts on a reasonable deal. He isn't the greatest PF, but he makes others around him better. That isn't something you can't track with stats. He's an important part of our success, whether it be as the starting PF or a key contributor off the bench.

I really don't want mcbob back...he is cool and all but his stats for the amount of minutes played are just bad

You're missing the point with McBob if you're looking at stats. I think his ideal role is a 20 minute per game backup, which I think he'll be doing in a year or two. He has been everything you could ask for out of a role player.

I want McRoberts back unless the front office could get Taj Gibson from the Bulls in a fire sale

I liked mcbob more when he was a banger and not a point forward. This team will be much better off with Zeller starting and he is going to need to make a major leap forward to do that.
