Don't trust Incarcerated Bob at all. He is usually dead wrong and is just a "throw stuff at the wall" kind of guy.

while the Lakers and Bulls are going after Melo (our 2 top competitors for Lance) we should put on offer on the table, maybe 4 years 44 million

As things heat up over Melo and those teams get closer to signing him, I expect us to be closer to signing Lance. The runner-up in the Melo sweepstakes will go hard after Lance and his agent probably knows it. So this could drag out but we need to make our move before Melo settles and get in Lance's head beforehand.

Yup. He's mentally unstable.

Kyle Lowry get $12M. Does anybody think Stephenson's going to sign for less?

Mr. Know It All believes Lance will settle for under 10 million per year. So I bet him if Lance signs for over 10 million, he has to add the Hornets logo to his fan profile, a symbol of his commitment to Hornets basketball over the Sixers.

I'm conflicted about who I want to win that bet. On the one hand I doubt Stephenson would take an offer of less than 10 million seriously, but on the otherhand if we were able to sign him for less than that then wow...our front office would have had an offseason for the ages.

Put it this way. If the Hornets overpay they're more likely to sign him than if they lowball him like the Pacers did at 8.8. If they match the Tyreke Evans deal they can ensure they will compete with these other teams.

The alternative (to overpaying Lance) is overpaying players a tier below him like Jodie Meeks and Avery Bradley or doing nothing and going into the year with Gerald Henderson.

I'm with you, I have no problem with offering Lance 11 million a year.

The Suns trying to throw a monkey wrench in our plans of signing Stephenson. I don't understand why they'd give up on Dragic though. If we weren't in dire need of a legit SG (Stephenson) instead of a undersized SG that's more of a combo guard (Dragic), I'd probably prefer the latter after the season he had

I really hope that doesn't happen. Not only do I want Stephenson here, I don't want that trade to happen. Indiana would get much better as a result of that and I don't really want to see Dragic leave Phoenix. That team is pretty fun to watch as it is.

I don't understand it for Phoenix. Dragic is coming off a near All-NBA campaign, and his current contract is well beyond a bargain for his production

I guess the thought is re-sign Bledsoe and go with a more traditional backcourt of Bledsoe/Stephenson rather than the 2 point guard lineup. It makes more sense to me to S&T Bledsoe and keep Dragic though.

If Indiana can pull this off then it would be a major steal.

Side note, I really despise sign and trades.

It makes some sense to me but. I still think for what they do and how they play Dragic is the better player for them.

If the Suns cant afford both Dragic and Bledsoe how are they going to afford Bledsoe and Stephenson? I don't put much stock in that guys twitter

Lance has to agree to play in Phoenix for this to happen, hopefully he won't. They are an up and coming young team though and he'd be doing the Pacers a huge favor so I wouldn't be shocked if it happened. :(

This could be a Hibbert for Dragic deal for the two teams.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

If Indy somehow figured out a way to get out of that Hibbert deal than they should put Birds statue outside of their arena immediately.

Don't the Suns have more cap room than anyone else, excluding Miami? The idea that they can't afford both Dragic and Bledsoe doesn't make sense to me.

Speaking of the Suns cap room, why wouldn't they just sign Lance outright? They don't have to do a sign and trade.

I think it was Stein who said they couldn't afford both of them in the long term, which is why they might be interested in letting Dragic go, but even if they did trade Dragic to Indiana for Stephenson in a sign and trade for Lance it isn't like hes going to come back cheap.

Hell, who knows.
