I did think the same, but I doubt our front office do it, I think they're sticking with Sessions who already knows the system

I can see Jack getting a better go on another team as well.

Cleveland never found a replacement for Delly, he could get backup minutes there straight away

Chalmers is another option still, even though Roberts is still with the team which could lead to think they don't necessary look for upgrading Sessions but are open to improve the frontcourt behind Cody (which should not be such a challenge).

I don't think this trade makes us better and we have to give up a first round pick for it? No thanks

Brandon Knight on the block.

I wonder what he'd cost us?

What's he worth to us? Not a huge plus/minus guy and he is on a terrible team but doesn't he have the worst plus/minus in the NBA right now?

You would have to make the caps match up, but what about a deal that is essentially Marvin and MKG for Millsap and Bazemore...

Hawks don't want to lose Millsap for nothing and Bazemore is playing out of position for them (more of a 2). They get back two guys who are great lockeroom guys and on really team friendly deals. MKG great next to Korver and Marv and Howard make sense too.

For us, Millsap becomes our number 2 scorer and Bazemore steps into a more natural position on defense at the 2. Both bring shooting and solid defenders.

I think we win that trade talent wise, but we take a lot of risk that Millsap could leave and we would of given up a lot for just Bazemore.

Thoughts?

We'd still be 9-10 mil short in salary. We would have to do something like MKG + Marvin + Hawes + Roy for Milsap + Bazemore + Muscala

Kemba/Sessions/Roberts
Bazemore/Marco
Batum/Lamb/Graham
Milsap/Muscala/Wood
Cody/Frank

We'd need to find a really cheap defensive minded center as insurance behind Frank, but this is actually kind of interesting. I think we'd need some kind of assurance Milsap would resign though, or this is far too risky. I'm still not sure I'd do it. We get older and less cap flexible and trading MKG at age 23 on a below market deal could really come back to haunt us.

Jimmy Butler on the block?

YES PLEASE!!!

MKG, Sessions and Kaminsky
For
Butler, Grant and Portis

Kemba - Grant - BRob
Butler - Sauce
Bats - Lamb - Buddy
Marv - Portis - Woody
Zeus - Doc - Hawes

Amazing starting 5.

Kemba gets his back court partner.

Pretty sure that the only way that the Bulls trade Butler is if Rondo comes with him.....
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Seconded.

Although you have to believe the Bulls will get stronger bids than that (i.e. Boston could send Smart, Jaylen Brown and picks).

That having been said, I'd gladly throw in an unprotected first or two in addition to MKG / Kaminsky to sweeten the pot.

Butler is the type of player that could take charlotte to the next level and he'd be worth paying a steep price to acquire if the rumors of his availability are true

Cool. I'd do it.

Then I'd immediately waive Rondo or flip him for an expiring and/or a 2nd (it could be top 59 protected for all I care).

I just REALLY want Jimmy.

Wiggins and a 1st round pick or Jaylen Brown, Smart and a 1st round pick are still better than the best we could offer them...

Yeah I can see Minnesota getting him.

MKG, Lamb or Kaminsky and 2 firsts?

or if they're desperate to get out of Rondo

MKG, Lamb, Sess 2 firsts for Rondo, Butler, Grant or Caanan,

Honnestly i am down to upgrade the starters at this point (except if a really awesome opportunity happens). Geting another star player in the backcourt won't fix the frontcourt, and so far, the frontcourt is the real mess (i pass on the fact that with a looming extension for Kemba, that would put most of the commitments to the backcourt in two years).
Hornets would probably have to overpay for Butler (one of the best two ways guard in the league and its not like Gm's don't know this) for a likely marginal improvement. Compare with a real move that could bring say, a tweener very good defender and a more than average center a la Lopez (speaking of Chicago).
I just hope there won't be emergency move that bring bad fits here.

Everyone forgot him, but why not try Sanders ? At this point the Hornets would not risk a lot with him (at least if the guy and his agent are serious and if he is fit obviously).

Id remove the "or" changing to an "and" if that's what it took. They can have both Lamb and Frank if it means we got Butler.

I'd happily pay a a heafty price for him. He's what, 26 or 27, so in his prime, 2 way, low maintenance, skill sets fits exactly what we need to get us over the hump, on a fair contract and could instantly become a significant part of our core with Kemba and Bats.

I don't know what it would take, but if Chicago truly wanted to blow it up, try to nab Lopez in the deal (hopefully without giving up Zeller). That could help shore of the front court. I'd have to think on it.
