The Clippers just signed Lou Williams to an extension of $8M per year... that means the free agent market is going to suck this year for players because there isn't enough money to go around. That is bad news for teams with big contracts.

If Lou Williams is only getting 8m per, we should easily be able to afford Lamb then.

Yeah, I don't get that at all. He doesn't have to do that and is going to kill his legacy with stuff like this. I guarantee no matter how many points, assists, rebounds, and championships he ends up with, most people will always say Jordan is #1 because of his personality/charisma.

I'm not even worried about maxing Kemba at this rate. Statistically he and Lou Williams are having very similar seasons. Obviously Kemba has history and age on his side, but even in 2019, it doesn't look like there's going to be a ton of money to go around, since most of the long deals signed in 2016 will still be on the books. Kemba's big payday might actually end up being less than we expect.

Smart given the situation ... I still feel bad for him.

No idea on Mudiay.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Smart move. I think they really wanted Mudiay during the 2015 draft but smartly chose KP instead.

The reasoning behind trading for Mudiay is to weigh their options and make him and Ntilikina compete. May the best PG win. I still think there’s some untapped potential in Mudiay. Often have I seen young point guards take 3-5 seasons to find their game speed in the NBA.

I was coming here just to post about that lol. You already know Clifford is itching at the bit to go after him.

Read on Twitter

Since starting all 78 games he played in for the 13/14 Bobcats, McBob has played in 83 games over the last four seasons. Only two appearances this year.

Haven't heard McRoberts's name in a bit, had no idea he was on the Mavs roster.

he would have been out of the league years ago if it wasn't for us.

its what annoyed me when he took the same money to go be Lebrons side kick. Then Lebron leaves for Cleveland which was sorta funny.

i didnt think back then that Marv Williams would end up so much better than McBob

just getting rid of Wade and Rose was a massive boost for Cleveland, but I really love the additions they have made. Apart from centre they are pretty deep now. Bogut might go there as big man insurance

I’d like to side with the reasoning for the boost is that they’ve gotten younger. Exchanging those older players that have made enough money to set them for life for an exuberance of youth willing to put their bodies on the line while still having something to prove will work wonders for them around their LeBron-centric system.

The pieces Cleveland got also just fit really well. Hill is one of the best PG fits with Lebron that isnt a star and Hood is a great 3rd option to go with Lebron/Love.

They’re still not good enough to beat GSW batting injury but they’ve gotten some naive basketball souls which will go a long way in helping them sweep through the East. Players like Clarkson, Hood, and Nance will be to LeBron what Tatum, Jaylen, and Rozier are to Kyrie but the former is the better player/leader.

Definitely great pieces to the puzzle considering skill sets. I’ve been under the belief since his college years that Clarkson is the quintessential combo guard off the bench. I wanted us to draft him and I wanted us to trade for him but oh well. New GM incoming.

If Lebron is able to lead this squad to the title, it's pretty safe to say he surpasses Jordan as the best ever.

At the very least, the team now is a lot more fun to watch. All those guys they traded just brought too much drama imo. I really don't care about the gossip, he said this, he said that stuff.
