Also in his trade scenario we trade up.

"TRADE: THE HORNETS SEND NO. 3 AND THEIR UNPROTECTED 2022 FIRST-ROUND PICK TO THE TIMBERWOLVES FOR NO. 1."

I would be happy to walk away from the draft with Wiseman.

I would NOT be happy if we used a future 1st, especially unprotected, to move up 2 spots to get him.

Trade scenario he made up is awful

But he said there are rumors the Hornets are into Wiseman which is interesting

I think Cody Zeller + 3 to GSW makes a whole lot of sense if we wanted to move up for Wiseman.

I have wiseman 4th on my big board right now so at 3 I can’t be too upset. However if we trade up in a week draft for a center in a league that is putting less and less value on bigs then we need to change leadership. Especially if it’s an unprotected future first. Wtf lol

The Ringer hates this franchise. Don't take seriously anything from that garbage site.

He fits perfectly on the Warriors, unfortunately.

Warriors won't take him (Warrior fan). They will trade out to get Toppin or Deni. Centers have never been the key to the Warriors dynasty.

:noway:

If we trade an unprotected 1st to trade up in this draft, we damn sure better be right. No way I would sign off on that.

But when Wiseman makes us a perennial contender that future 1st will be less valuable than an early 2nd.

I jest.

I'm fine with Wiseman (or Edwards, or OO, or...) at 3. But, in a complete crapshoot of a draft I don't want to pay an entry fee to enter the casino.

Rays Pompadour wrote:The real problem drafting Wiseman is that centers take much longer to develop than wings or guards. He has elite measurements, some elite skills. But the young man has a long way to go in his development to be a functional, then integral, then sensational NBA player.

The argument is that all these young players have to develop before really contributing to a club. But really tall, young men have a deeper developmental curve. If Charlotte gets him, it'll be for limited use - not a red shirt - and long term development. Our expectations should match the reality.

I don't think this is a downside honestly. I'd love for this team to be in the running for a top 5 pick in the upcoming drafts. Next years draft is pretty good overall and has Cade Cunningham, who is an elite tier #1 pick prospect, and the draft after that is probably going to be the double draft when high school players are allowed to enter the draft again.

You posted in green but that better be the mentality of the FO if we do this deal. They would have to be certain he's a can't miss prospect.

Also they better be right if they do it.

Entirely agree (and entirely disagree with us trading up).

I want Wiseman more than any other prospect in the draft but no way I trade a future first to move up. Not against trading, but it’d need to be marginal.

“The Hornets are highly interested in selecting former Memphis center James Wiseman in the Nov. 18 draft, two NBA sources with knowledge of the situation told The Observer.

One of those sources said he views Georgia guard Anthony Edwards as the Hornets’ backup plan if Wiseman isn’t available to Charlotte. “

Maybe it's true, I just can't see us leaking our draft plans this early especially. We are usually rather unpredictable come draft night, why would we show our cards to anyone this early into the process? Either way, I'm fine with Wiseman at 3. But for the love of God, if they trade UP to get him...

So much smoke.

Now I'm convinced that we don't want Wiseman. This is because the Edwards pic with MJ leaked.

Warriors were allegedly super impressed with Deni, and now they want Wiseman. No one will know anything until draft night. Its all smoke everywhere

Were going to trade up for him. My best offer is 3, Zeller, and 32. Absolutely no future first.

as a Warriors' fan I could see the team doing this trade with the Hornets especially if Ball goes #1.
