Ha, yeah. LA fans seem to love this move. Of course - a shiny new thing. I've seen the posts about the effort he puts forth on defense. Wow. Anywho - wish Malik the best in LA, but the countdown clock to fan abandonment just start ticking.

I saw some reddit posts saying he was a strong defender too. Lol
He is good for streaky offense and occasional dunks

Everyone they've signed is sooo old (Ariza, Carmelo, Dwight, Ellington, Bazemore) it's probably refreshing to get an athletic 23 yo that can shoot over 40% from three

This is very true. Of course, they could have just signed a young whipper snapper like Rivers :)

EDIT - ah, see he got gobbled back up by Nuggs.

Both Cody and monk signed for vet minimum deals? That's hard to wrap my head around.

It is, it also shows why we couldn’t trade them for anything useful, they weren’t worth much apparently

So, are we still feeling good about our PG depth? Some good options on the horizon?

New rule that we all need to help each other collectively remember:

Mitch moves fast at draft time and slow at FA time. He doesn't tamper and I believe has yet to have a full deal lined up to announce within 12 hours of the deadline. That Hayward signing came out of nowhere like 4 days into free agency.

Now time to forget that until about this time next year

Honestly, Mitch had what I and many others believe to be a good draft, it's just a shame he went on vacation this week.

I just don't believe that Mitch is like that. He does what the league does. If you think that there weren't back channel messages sent to Hayward's camp to opt out so that we could get him and offer him what we did, I have a bridge to sell you.
Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

It's comical to suggest that he's not paying attention, as though he hasn't had to make any decisions so far. Hell even the Graham S&T isn't done and we're seriously going to act like he's just out to lunch?

Not saying you have to like any particular decision in a void, but IMO makes no sense to suggest he's not paying attention.

I never said he hasn't checked his phone when he's at the bar. It's very possible that he's paying attention.

Lot of premature dumb takes out there when we are in great shape financially, have loads of young talent on the team and incoming, a franchise bell cow, versatility and a talented vet leader. We are headed for the best era of Hornets basketball since the mid 90’s. Mark it.
