If they do something kind of off the wall I hope its for Jakucionis or Demin. I would rather either of them be the pick than Kon.

With VJ likely being gone, I'm fully on the Tre wagon, however I'll be happy on draft night as long as we don't use the 4th pick on one of the none Flagg Duke guys.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

I'm a little surprised Demin hasn't gotten more hype. He has a very interesting combination of physical tools plus skill and feel/IQ.

Re: 2025 General Draft Discussion 2
I have Kasparas higher on my board than Kon.
Kasparas is the same height but 1.5 inches longer wingspan. Still 205 lbs compared to Kon at 219.
Athletically he grades out better on 3/4 sprint, shuttle and lane agility.
Statistically he averaged more points, rebounds, assists and free throw attempts

Not a huge difference but Jakucionis is also only 19.1 years on draft night compared to 19.8 for Kon.

Okay Ben. Have a nice day.
Why don't you just explain your point? I don't get the thing where you post something cryptic, I ask what you mean, and you just deep the conversation.
Your pattern is undermining the first point of a case and dismissing it as something invalid.
I'm tired of it.
The simple point is that I believe in my opinion that the interest in trading up centers on Fears despite us hearing it centers on Ace.
This is my opinion and it differs from yours and neither of us can prove it.
To be clear, I said I didn't understand your point and then you quit the conversation. I have no idea if teams actually like Fears as much as you say they do and that wasn't what I was disagreeing with.

Supposedly Fears is the player who won’t work out for the Hornets, saying he wouldn’t play with Melo. Interpreted to mean Fears would need to be the ball dominant handler of the offense, which is Melo’s role here, so it’s not an attractive situation for Jeremiah. So there’s that….
Absent trading Melo I don’t see this team drafting Fears or Jaku, either straight up at 4 or in a trade back scenario.

I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

It seems like teams think Jaku can play both the 1 and 2. He is 6-5 barefoot, 6-8 wingspan which are both bigger than VJ.

Is Fears thing just a guess? I haven’t seen any of that actually reported

This was so obvious he plays the same position. Ace had already spoken about playing with Melo and Miller.
Crazy how everyone tried to assume it was Ace who made the statement yesterday.

I got this feeling we will take someone who's not getting a lot of hype.
It has been quiet on Jaku. Could be a name to watch out for especially if we trade back.

Jaku would be a sneaky good pick for us, especially in a trade back scenario. He isn't the perimeter defender we need. But he compliments LaMelo and Miller extremely well on offense. I'm sure most of the fandom would be pissed off if we draft him, but he's a much better choice than Kon.

Tbh none of the players in our range are good on defense besides VJ/Ace.
Kon/Tre/Jaku/Fears are not good defenders.

Facts, I'd probably go for Tre Johnson if VJ is off the board. He's the best shooter in this class (he can shoot off the dribble unlike Kon), he's a hard worker with a good personality, and he has good size/length.
But I get why people think we should draft Ace. I just don't think we have the ability to mold him into a good player.
If the Sixers take VJ I hope we come out of the draft with Tre or Jaku.

Worth a listen... he kind of speaks glowingly about everyone in our draft range but did say that if someone with the talent of Ace is on the board at 4 The Hornet should take him

Just insane. Absolutely, certifiably insane.

Melo's dad was literally just saying that LaMelo's natural position is off ball (with Lonzo running point). Versatility is a good thing in a backcourt.
But I think the Nets trade up to 3 or 4 for Fears.
It has been written...
