fatlever wrote:has anyone been watching spartacus - blood and sand (and the prequel mini series arena of the gods)? its a starz original and is available via streaming on netflix. i highly recommend it. its freaking fantastic. its about the rise of spartacus, a roman gladiator. the fighting is as bloody, graphic and violent as you could ever imagine, the plot line is great and in between the fighting and plot is lots of orgies. check it out. i started with the prequel first. i am about 6 episodes into season 1 of blood and sand now (2 seasons have been made).

Just finished the prequel. It wasn't as good as the first seeason but Doctore's wife/Gannicus' girl is smoking hot.

say what you want about adrian wojnarowski, but he is not afraid to ruffle some feathers. here he absolutely rips david stern a new one -

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=A ... nnba031511

not that it will change anything, but in my opinion more voices like this need to speak up.

my feelings on stern are conflicted. on one hand i hear the stories of the days of the nba in the late 70s, early 80s when the nba was a drug ridden league, with empty arenas and a horrible tv deal that resulting in tape delay finals games. stern came in an returned the nba to the popularity enjoyed in the 60s and then far beyond leading the nba to its most prosperous era from mid 80s to mid 90s. expanding the league and helping establish the nba internationally. would all this have happened without stern? i dont know.

on the other hand, he is the same commissioner who has backed scumbag owners like sterling and shinn and allowed many franchises to leave great fanbases behind. the same man who has dealt with constant rumors of a league that has fixed the lottery for big market teams, fixed playoff games to ensure the highest possible ratings, fixed finals games to spite owners who dared to challenge him, promoted players over teams, allowing a lockout that resulted in a partial season and created a league of fear as wojo describes.

maybe its time to thank stern for getting the nba to this point but to ask him to step aside in favor of a commissioner, who at least "appears" to more integrity. and one who makes more decisions to appeal to the fans of the game rather than the owners.

McGee has 12 blocks Vs the Bulls with 5 1/2 mins still to go in the game.

He's 3pts away from an unconventional triple double (he already has 10 boards).

The guy is WAYYYY too immature. With a min left in the game, down by 20, he gets a Tech for hanging on the rim after a dunk. Com on man! He's pretty much playing for himself on the court.

Anyone heard about Casey Heynes, an Australian kid that got bullied? I guess videos of him are going viral. Here's one I found funny:

Back in middle school and early high school, I had a few skinny kids that tried the same thing to me. Unless you put your foot down and scare those kids, they'll keep going and going and going. I know quite a few kids that experienced bullying because they let it happen.

One time this scrawny guy thought it would be funny to "orbit" me because, according to him, I was the Sun and he was the Earth. That didn't end well for him.

Casey's a patient kid. After that first punch in the face, skinny kid is going down and I'm not stopping until I see blood.

I've never seen this before and I have to say, I am beyond stoked that the big kid smoked that little sh*t head.

You notice the big kid approach Casey after he puts down the little bully. I'm guessing that most of the time the skinny little kid normally has 1 or 2 relatives or friends with him when he is picking on Casey.

Unfortunately that has quite common with kids now a days, the bullies hide behind bigger groups that make them feel tougher than they are.
