Where are these reports? I've been looking for details of that workout for days. All I heard up until now is that both players impressed with Beal getting the slight edge

I wouldn't say it's irrelevant in the grand scheme. It's very telling of the two players.

Didn't Jimmer outplay Kemba in Sactowns workout last year? Jimmer is def the better pro

WOW !

What a stand-Off!

Hello , i am a CAVS fan. this looks like it will go down to the wire.

Looks like both teams are playing Hard Ball.

I think the Cavs best offer will be #4, 2nd rd pick, a player
Dont think this will get it done.

Cavs fans are split on who to take at 4, but if Chris Grant gives up the #24, he will be immediately fired.

Worst case for Cleveland is MKG or Barnes at 4, Best Big at 24.

Good Luck

I think the 2nd pick in the draft is worth more than that. I would consider the #4 and both of your second rounders, while you keep the 24 but not just one.

I think the 4 and 24 for #2 has been discussed and will probably end up taking place.

Why would you matchup a SG who's 6'3-6'4 with a SF who's 6'8? Of course you'd expect the SF to struggle with his lateral quickness in defending the smaller player. What was the drill the two players competed in? Was there a post up drill? Was this a drill that catered to the guards as opposed the bigger players? It just doesn't really make sense and I wouldn't pay too much mind into it. To hear of Barnes trying to defend Beal and Beal being able to get around the slower big man shouldn't be surprising to anyone.

I don't see why #24 would be a real hangup for Cleveland. Gilbert has big pockets; just purchase a pick. Better yet, keep #24 and give us both second-round picks.

Yeah but it works both ways. They said Beal was able to handle Barnes length because Beal is built even if he is a tad undersized. You'd expect Barnes to handle Beal when playing one one one and take advantage of the height advantage, wouldn't you?

I think the Cavs want MKG or Barnes, I now think the rumors (made by Cavs ppl) about Barnes being "destroyed" by Beal was to draw attention to Beal in order that Barnes may slip to the Cavs hands. The fact that Cavs fans even consider Barnes after the workout rumors seems telling to me.

Yes I would, and if Barnes can't post up a 6'4 freshman SG, either that SG is a phenomanl athlete, or Barnes shouldn't be a lottery pick.

Gilbert and Grant Love Barnes (should have come out last year)

That's why I cant see giving up the 24th pick.

If you guys take Beal at 2, Wash takes Robinson at 3, cavs will be Happy to take barnes at 4.
if not; they can take MKLG at 4 and trade up from the 24th pick to get Rivers.

Does anybody know who the Wizards are projected to pick? I'm wondering if the Cavs are worried that Barnes and MKG will both be gone by the time their selection comes around?

Beal.

I say we stick at 2 and pick Beal and act like we are keeping them. Then take the best Wizard/Cav/whatever offer. Or just keep Beal and worry about fit later.

This is what I was thinking, you guys have your sights set on Barnes or MKG and the workout that was done with Barnes and Beal may have been a calculated attempt to devalue Barnes in order for him to slip some in order for the Cavs to pick him. If the Bobcats take Robinson or Beal, it would be a win for the Cavs who would definitely be able to get one of the two SF's.

Do you guys think Beal is a better player than Austin Rivers, I think he and Kyrie would be a very nice combo to have!
